    1. SoG, Angels 20...
    2. I always like the chance to talk with you about history of WW II. Heydrich is an interesting theme.

    1. I discuss with Sven (Marechallanes) that many of us want to try Sails of Glory. Jan (Honza) knows many others aviation games, so what about "An hour of non-WoG gaming"? Everybody can try something new in this "blind hour".
    2. May be you know, that during WWII there was an assassination of the Reich Protector in Prague (Operation Anthropoid). In the church, where paratroopers lost their lives, there is National Memorial to the Heroes of the Heydrich Terror and a fine atmospheric pub "U Parašutistů" nerby, so we can visit it and take a lunch there.

What do you think about it?
Both ideas are OK with me. Angels 20 are especially interesting (I played it some time ago and have some repainted Bf 109s and Fw 190s).

Thanks Daniel! The scenario is prepared, although far from maturity yet Now it's in testing phase, as I have to answer some questions how to balance the game properly. Below a few hints how the scenario is build.

When German paratroopers landed on Crete they have been lacking heavy weapons due to fact that Luftwaffe drop procedures provided heavy equipment in separate drops. As a result Luftwaffe planes were the only heavy support they could rely on. The scenario is based around that fact.

German advance towards port of Rhetymnon in three groups using three different paths. Their goal is port itself, but the assault is put on hold by well prepared defence positions of Australian and Greek troops. As heavy fights are held on the ground paratroopers calls for aerial support to eliminate designated targets. This is represented by target cards placed on the map. Starting points of target cards are marked with yellow "X" marks on the map below. Next to each card the fuel counter is placed which shows how much time Luftwaffe has to destroy the target. At the beginning of each turn the numbers on the counters are reduced by 1. If the target is destroyed within given time paratroopers advance towards next position on the map as indicated by blue arrows. Then the next target card is placed within the blue ovals marked on the map. However, if the target is not destroyed within given time, the paratroopers are pushed back in the direction of red arrows, and target cards are placed further from the port itself. In both cases a new time markers are placed aside the card and the clock starts ticking again. That means that even with better planes (Bf109, Bf110, Ju87 against Gladiators and Hurricanes) Germans are under time pressure to destroy ground targets. Meanwhile Allies have to do anything they could to prevent that!

    Here's the map:

I've made first test of that scenario already and I will drop an AAR in a proper secion soon. I've got already some ideas how to balance the scenario. I will keep you informed.

I was always very enthusiastic about Crete Invasion, as I consider it as very equal battle. Allied were not very far from winning there, after all. Frankly, that was also an incentive for me to make a scenario for that campaign, even more when I found that there're hardly any scenario researched for it.

    Great idea, Rafal.

My contribution to the program would be one mission from both wars:
    WWI - Italian front
WWII - eastern front (with the kind support of Nightbomber)
The name and more details later.

    Count on me, Jakub.
If we do not run multiple and simplified campaign missions I think I will turn to WWII mostly and plan to design at least 1 ground attack oriented mission "Breakthrough at Prokhorovka".

    To the Czech Wing members:
As far as I can see there shall be even greater number of participants next year. What do you think of changing the venue for the Convention for a kind of conference room in a hotel in Prague, where the whole group (foreigners) could be accomodated? Ladinek shop is a great place, no doubt about it, but there is a communication issue. I know it may cause some expense, but I do not see why should not we contribute to that?
    Any thoughts?

Personally, I vote for Lada's shop - I want to support him and his business, not a hotel.
Both years I could find a fine and cheap accomodation only about 15 minutes a walk from his place (for Nemanja and Rafał).

    Hi guys,

    For the missions:

Nemanja - no problem at all, I have already the idea how to scale the scenario for any number of players. To be tested though...
Kubajs - count me and Darek in. I'd love to fly at least one of your missions.
Sven - same for your missions, please take us on the pilot briefing list

For the place of the Con. I understand your point Andrzej, I mean if we have enough space for all the people, but I second Daniel's opinion. Let's help Lada with his busines, and I'm perfectly sure that these are good business days for him. Last time I personaly bought 11 planes during the Con

Perfect So Ladinek's shop is booked. I am all for supporting his business as well. So now we have some missions to plan...
    1st table: WWI,
    2nd table WWII?
or...what about playing ONLY WWII games in 2015?
    1st table: Europe,
    2nd table Pacific?
    What about the campaign idea?

    1st table: Western Front
2nd table: other fronts (Italian, Russian, Turkey)

Just joking, but we need to result the system soon. Especially if we want to play a campaign.

Randy, I have a friend - big man, alpinist, climber, clever man. Ha has not dizziness or something else, but he hate flying. The only thing which motivate him was: "I want to see Iceland!" May be our Con should be something similar for you In combination with the Tour de Rest of Europe (did anyone said "Wiena" or "Dresden"?)...

    Andrzej,

Looking at the list of scenarios as it is now we have 3 WGF and 4 WGS ones. If I remember correctly we could do 4 scenarios per gaming table each day, which means 8 scenarios on Saturday and probably 4 scenarios on Friday and Sunday each. Let's wait how many scenarios for each period we have and then decide the list. I'm pretty sure our host will do the job perfectly, as it was the case last year.

Nice to hear Mr. and Mrs. Kyte are coming

About the missions, I believe there is enough time to make a good schedule. I'm also glad that we are going to play at Lada's shop again. And I must say, public transport in Prague is well organized, so shop's location is no problem at all.

Maybe it's time to consider Saturday's flight beerhouse

    Good point, Nemanja!

We really need a place for saturday evening.

I like the beer pub need Ladinek's shop, but my engine needs fuel after 11 pm, too.

    For the scenarios...

I'm not shure if I can host my WW II nightfight scenario for more then 8 players.

I hope i am able to come up with a night scenario. I have to finally complete my own set of night rules, which have been sitting in the back of my head for over a year. It incorporates the heresy of WWI planning in the WWII world.

The funny thing is that my wife is due around that time .

I am really happy that our a forum legend Rob is about to come with his wife, it will be great to have him here. If only Andrea would have time ...
