I was expecting a Blohm + Voss 238 because, you know, those BV 222 Vikings are just too dainty.
Indeed, the German Giants of both wars were very cool!

Interesting to note: All those designs are dual-float; none of them made it to full production. The only floatplanes the US used at the front were single-float-plus-outriggers; the British had the Northrop N3PB and Fokker T.VIIIW acquired from folks escaping the Germans, plus a few Swordfish floaters, but the "evaders" were relegated to the scrapheap by '42 (I don't recall Stringbag floatplanes being used in front-line work).
Dual floats allow for torpedoes : )
