Beautiful planes Rob, great work as ever
Nice !
Very nice Rob. An excellent way to start a painting thread!
Nice painting Rob, and nice rubber mat. Where did you get it from ?
Nice job, like how you've done the canopy.
Rob,
I can't find any Mosquitos in Desert colours. Is there a reference for your choice?
EG-F was from 487 RNAF Squadron, and took part in Operation Jericho. The plane was shot down during the mission in Feb 1944.
Nonetheless, here is a card for your awesome plane:

I used the Feb 1944 CO's name, not the pilot for Operation Jericho, G/Capt Percy Charles Pickard.
If you want a desert background, or a different pilot, that can be arranged.
Mike
Thanks Mike.
You are a treasure. I will look at my Bulldogs Rosta and see if I can fins a suitable candidate.
Rob.

Just PM.ed you with my list and then re read this.
If you could do Desert background it would be great.
Do you know what that movement demarcation on the card is?
Rob.

Some great painting there, Rob and John!
I have to add my nightfigther Mosquito, too.
Its an unarmed bombing/enlighting version of a de Haviland Mosquito B Mk XVI from RAF No. 8 (Pathfinder Force) Group in January 1943
The miniature is a "clipper resin version" too and a gift from my dear friend and comrade Jager.
The decals are from 1/144 direct. (not cheap but good )
Flare bombs dropped. Now the heavies coud fly in.
A sample:
Voilŕ le soleil d'Austerlitz!
Excellent Mosquitoes all around!
Indeed, maybe Mr. Kyte will give an advice how to add the propeller blades.
Voilŕ le soleil d'Austerlitz!
I actually clipped the blades from a larger and thus longer set. Once they were off the boss, I filed a spigot onto the end to fit three pre-drilled holes in the circumference of the Mosquito's prop boss. They were then super-glued in place.
Getting the holes in the boss at exactly three equidistant spots, and in the vertical without breaking the very fine drill is the real challenge.
Rob.

Thank you, Rob.
I have such a thin drill.
Now I'm looking for the propeller blades.

My 4 Wooden Wonders Mk IIF / Mk VIFB bearing standard camo scheme Ocean Grey/Medium Green and Polish 305 Sqd. markings are equipped with bases (Beaufighter ones with stickers) and printed cards are on offensive patrol here.
I am very glad how they turned out finally.
Models of AIM, cards by Mike, data by Carl. Thanks to all of them!

Some nice models and decals available from here too!
Great squadron that is beautifully done. Super job.
Here's to them what are like us. Damn few and they're all dead.
Great Job Andy !

Great job on the 305 Sqn planes, Andy.
Trying to find crews for cards, I ran across a video of a Mosquito build. My scratch building skills might be up to one of these: www.youtube.com -Let Me Build COBI Mosquito Mk.VI (5542)
Oh. And updated cards: OldGuy59's WWII British Heavy Fighters Album

Mosquito : 6 from BRS to WoG
Already big W on the Mosquitos, the BRS planes were 3mm too long... Unbelievable, isn't it? So we cut, glued and sanded the wingspan/length proportions to suit:
Indeed, as soon as you "open the bouate", the general silhouette of the Mosquito BRS casts doubt on the length of the fuselage, and it's only after measurements that the confirmation of a defect was confirmed.
The version is a Mosquito FB VI ; Span: 54 ft 2 in - Length: 40 ft 6 in
Or : Span: 16.52 m - Length: 12.34 m
At 1/200: Wingspan: 82.6 mm - Length: 61.7 mm
BRS: Wingspan: 82.5 mm - Length: 65 mm
The option is to match the ARES WoW/WoG aircraft on a "Tappeto di Gioco" meaning (blades) propellers in place and transparent cockpits.
Therefore application of the method of making 2 bubbles and 6 canopies with the same recipe as the Me 262 :

1 Mosquito NF II - 3 FB VI - 1 B IV - 1 PR XVI
The camouflage pattern can vary from one aircraft to another, with a grey-green inversion; note also that grey is often common to both the lower and upper surfaces of twin-engine aircraft. (already seen on WoG's Beaufighter) Light gray wash (but not too much) traces of exhaust gases on the engine nacelles and light aluminum on the leading edge and propeller spats; not on the aircraft, which is made of wood!

I decided not to make any aircraft from the same squadron for a possible scenario... I feel like ARES releasing a Mosquito Pack with 6 decorations

Love the attention to detail and hobby work.
Beautiful swarm!
Astounding!

Very, very nice Chee.
Quite a superb swarm of Mosquitoes.
Are the BRS Mosquitoes fresin or pewter?
I did some Beaufughters from them that were pewter, and worried about the weight on the stands.
