Less than 25: Just starting out; looks like a good game
25-49: Starting to get into this game; I think it’s a keeper.
50-99: That’s good, no more for me: wait, is that a new series release coming up!
100-199: I think I’m getting serious; Maybe make some room in storage.
200-299: Bad news: WoG anonymous sent me literature;
300-499: Hangers full; time to build a new aerodrome!
500-999: Serious storage problem here; good news: you’re ready for almost any scenario!
1000+: I guess I like this game!
I must do a recount.

150 different paint jobs on planes. Working on FE2Bs.
Simply 'Not enough' is all I can say about how many I have
Well, that's another land mark I never thought I'd get to. Just ticked into the 100+ bracket
Since the 2014 post the airforce has increased to the 300 mark
I'm learning to fly, but I ain't got wings
Coming down is the hardest thing
Since this started, my WWI collection has grown to around 150 genuine Nexus/Ares planes plus 50 odd that are Shapeways/F-Toys/Metal or Balsa ones.
I confine my interest to WW1 so I guess it scales down the possibility to grow the collection to the wuthering heights someone reached... Nevertheless I'm extremely proud of my 22 fighters, 4 two-seaters and 1 observation balloon!
Breaking it down by nationality
Germans: 6 fighters, 2 two seater
Austro-Hungarians: 6 fighters
Italians: 5 fighters
British: 2 fighters, 1 two seater
French: 2 fighters, 1 two seater
Americans: 1 fighter
Observation balloon doesn't have a stable nationality and moved to whatever side of the table suits the Scenario
I see that back in '17 I had 150 planes (mostly WGF) and a balloon. Although I've not counted my air forces have grown to somewhere over 200 (all ARES except for the 1 Nexus), most of which have, sadly, yet to see combat...primarily due to the recent pandemic. However, should ARES ever produce any of the long awaited early war WGF machines and balloons (or any American and Japanese fighters, dive bombers and torpedo bombers of the early Carrier War of 1942), my collection would expand commensurately.
Thanks to Daryl at RAF I think my total is MORE
100-199: I think I’m getting serious; Maybe make some room in storage. The funny thing is when these questions always come up they say I voted in this already? I have not but I am writing it out. I have 146 models in WW1.
Yeh, still not counting (new batches of AiM and SWs for Origins this year ).

I remember voting on this back when when I thought I had built up a sizeable collection. But then I completed my collection of WGF and WGS manufactured planes. And after that I ventured into WGS 1/144th territory which has pushed the number of planes I own into the "Don't ask, don't tell" category.
This just encouraged me to upsate my collection.
I now have:-
WW1. 208 aircraft plus 6 Balloons, 1 RNAS Airship and 1 Zep.
WW2. 185 aircraft, plus 3 Blimps.
