Chaps, on posting my latest diatribe, I noticed that whilst I was having my postprandial nap aided by a fine glass of Italian wine.( Yes Attilio and Andrea are fostering new trends in my drinking habits) I could not help but notice that you had slipped in the 10,000th post on the U.K. sub forum.
As the first pilots to pass this milestone, I feel that it calls for a right good old shindig in the Mess tonight.
As Wing Commander of the said units it behoves me therefore, in the best traditions of the R.F.C. R.N.A.S, R.A.F and F.A.A. to be throwing the doors open to all the pilots on the Drome to join us as guests, at a proper Sod's Opera.
The drinks are on me lads and lasses.

Formal dress is optional.

WingCo, excuse the intrusion but me and the bally chaps of A flight have purloined/acquired/assimilated/rescued, from a fate worse than death ie the Oiks of the infantry nearby, a fine quantity of excellent vintage Vino Francais. So let the Beaujolais flow free as we didn't pay for it anyway. Oh and a I left a suitable IOU in case said owners of previously, aforementioned Vino return that directs them to the Infantry Officers Mess a few miles away in the opposite direction.
