    Default Hi from Cdt Burnsibub

    Hello there

    My name is Lee
First of all I am rubbish at all games that involve throwing dice, I'm terrible at it though doesnt spoil my enjoyment.

My friend from Red Eagle Miniatures asked me several months ago to make him some flight stands for his aeroplane range and asked him what is the game.

So after downloading and reading the rules I was interested as it looked like a fun game. I played StarWars X-Wing and StarTrek Attack Wing which have a similar game engine. I have played Canvas Eagles and CY6 which I enjoy however they arnt anywhere as near fun as X-Wing/A-Wing games.

So here I am, a Johnny-come-Lately which I hope everyone will forgive. I found this site as because there are so many products/variations of the game it is difficult to know where to start as no one at the club plays it. I want to get those guys playing it and the WW2 version interests me more (as I have plenty of ww2 aircraft already and cannot afford to buy a ww1 set yet!).

Looking forward to reading the forums and saying hello to everyone

    cheers
    Lee

Well Lee, I can now formally welcome you to the U.K. Wing of the Drome.
Your Squadron Leader for Central England is Guntruck. I'm sure he will be along soon to make you feel at home here. Meantime continue to chat to the other pilots and enjoy the hospitality of the officer's Mess. Being new, you may even be able to blag a few virtual beers of the other chaps.
Fly safe and watch your six.
    Rob.

Welcome to the Aerodrome Lee! As they say, "better late than never!" In fact, it's a great time to be getting into this hobby... afters years of limbo, Ares has picked up the ball and is running with it. We've got new planes in the hopper for both World War I (WGF) and World War II (WGS), and you can find a ton of support (both here and elsewhere) for what is a growing hobby. Please don't hesitate to ask any questions... our members possess a crazy-amount of knowledge on a wide variety of related subjects.

    Lee,
Well, if you're no good with dice, you've found the rules set that eliminates the need for them! Welcome aboard and good luck.

Welcome from UK Squadron North lee. Plenty of action on the 'Drome. Solo WW2 if you're interested down in the WW2 Over the Skies threads. Lots of shows coming up in your neck of the woods where we put on a darn good participation of WW1 and WW2. If you're available on April 12th join us at SALUTE in London. Above all enjoy, happy hunting and good flying and if in doubt ask there is always someone on the site who will have or knows who has the answer.
See you on the Dark Side......

Thank you all for your warm welcomes to the drone. Website is fantastic. I unfortunately cannot make Salute this year as I am playing a gig in welwyn garden city that night. However all my WoG will be on sale at the Red Eagle Miniatures stand.

    Thumbs up

G'day Lee & welcome to the 'drome on behalf of the Pilots who fly in N.S.W. down in Australia!

If WW2 is your go then take a look down in that section, particularly at the After Action reports which will give you a great idea of the fun & games you can have.
Lots of new WW2 aircraft coming soon so its a great time to get involved.

Hi, Lee, welcome from another Leicestershire newbie (Coalville). Funny I was just considering some Red Eagles minis, do you make bases?

    Hi Nigel
    Im in Barrow-upon-Soar
Yes I do make the bases for Red Eagle (who are also near Coalville). If there is anything you dont like about them that you want me to change or add then I can do that for you, plus also any additional bits and bobs like altitude wheels etc I can also sort out. Anything that adds to the game really.

    cheers

Welcome aboard Lee, glad to have you here. I've played X-wing too but I really enjoy Wings of Glory WW2. And for a lighter game WW1. Hope you don't go too far in dept with all these wonderful minis.
