    Gents, this was in today's Oregonian, not good news at all.

    I'm sorry to hear that Lloyd.
    The news does not sound at all good, but whilst there is life there is always hope.
    I'll keep my fingers crossed for you chaps in the States.

    Very sad when a local gem like that goes under. Hopefully they can get things worked out.
    BTW: I was surprised to read that there were only 7 flying P-38s; somehow I thought there were more.

    Its not just the taxes. The museum was tied to Evergreen Aviation which recently went bankrupt. The operators tried to separate the 2 but apparently their finances were too mixed for that. The county is actually trying to help keep its doors open.
