I was also a bit perturbed by not being able to get an all round view too.

I imagine a time in the not too distant future where we will see better and cheaper "fully immersed" games. VR seems to be such a science/nerd thing nowadays but I remember a huge VR flying machine in an arcade some 20 years back. It was effectively a large flight simulator with a coin slot.
One can dream right? This guy did more than dreaming though. Pretty cool IMO.
Wow... The only thing about VR is that I know I will get motion sickness.
