Default A bit of action off the grid . .

Spent a few days designing, building, and engaging 27 kids for a fun overnight event . . . before the dawn mayhem:

All is quiet in the Eastern Front

Munitions prepared! Sadly the rest of the pics of the battles are on my other camera!

Found a few shots of the action . . .

Nothing like a water balloon fight at dawn

Indoor fun was marshmallow guns and minions . . .

    The Schedule of doom . . .

Can't find the indoor catapult photos, but will keep looking . . .

Takes me back to the days of my Technology classes Dave. I still have a couple of the prototype models for the Trebuchets, Mangonels and Onagers on the shelf in my workshop.

Takes me back to the last few Pennsic Wars in the SCA; they started using siege artillery on the massed battlefield back in the late '90s, and sometimes, it feels like you need trenches
Certainly looks like you know how to engage the interests of the youth.

Looks like a good event and the kids had a good time. A little bit of education also so that is a very good thing.

Looked like the kiddies had a lot of fun.....Kudos mate for producing the war machines.

Unfortunately where I live, would have to wait a while to have a water fight as those balloons would turn into lethal weapons.....ouch!
