Yesterday we started with testing missions (according to timetable) for Prague Con 2014. I would be glad if other Game Masters will post their AAR's here too, because I am really curious about your ideas
Battle of France
Prague, 15th January 2014
1:30, 4 players, 8 planes
Date of mission: 15th May 1940
Location: two strategic bridges over Meuse river near Sedan
Story: Battle of Sedan is coming to the end, German troops are crossig the river Meuse and really need to stop move of French reinforcements over two bridges on the south of the city. French planes and the two Belgian Hurricanes patrol over the location and need stop German bombers.
Axis Forces: 2x Junkers Ju.87 Stuka B-2; 2x Messerschmitt Bf.109 E-3
Allied Forces: 2x Dewoitine D.520; 2x Hawker Hurricane Mk.I
Axis victory conditions: destroy both bridges and leave the battlefiel
Allied victory conditions: destroy both Stukas before they succesfully bomb both targets
Balance: Perfect. We agreed that the battle was well balanced. It is necessary to play at least two dive bombers.
Allied aircraft spotted enemy's movement turns towards him.
First Hurricane reach the Stuka and start with shooting. The other group (Stuka + Bf.109 and two D.520) in the backgroud.
Yellow nose Stuka started smoking after several hits from British Hurricane, Belgian one after Immelman and Bf.109 in bad angle for shooting
Yellow nose Stuke is down before dive bombing (| for Allies), British Hurricane turning to the other enemy group, one D.520 down (| for Axis) and the other one far from current battlefield.
White nose Stuka in the dive bombing maneuvre (btw, it safe it from at least two direct hits), British Hurricane after Immelman and the Belgian can not shoot (enemy is too low). Both Bf.109 turning for the next round. The last D.520 is approaching.
British Hurricane and D.520 shoot down the last Stuka just after the succesfull bombing (| for both sides) and Bf.109 are shooting down the Belgian plane (| for Axis). After 1:30 the battle is over (Allies won, because Germans did not bomb both targets [just the only one]).
