    Default Crusade Penarth

Is anybody going to Crusade staying over Friday night? If so, where? Just got an unexpected nod from SWMBO.

I was hoping to go as its my "local" show (I live in Swansea)...

Not sure who's organizing though, but definitely put my name on the list if its on and I will be bringing 1 other.

I am planning to be there on Saturday.

Unfortunately it is unlikely that I will be going. I'm in Sweden that week and I'm not sure exactly when I'm back.

Yes we have a table booked.
I will be there and last I heard so was Armstrongjohn.
No Steve not staying overnight as I only live across the bridge so will go down Sat morning.
If you want to stay over in Brizzle I can take you down, unfortunately got family staying that weekend so can't offer you a berth.
I live at the junction of M4/M5 if you want to look for accommodation and I live a couple of miles from Bristol Parkway station

Good news we have a table, what time do you wants us down there and any idea of what the day will consist of ?

Last year we had WW1 airships and seaplanes but seeing David is in Sweden I assume we will have a different schedule.

My preference is for WW1 flying my DR1 but any chance for a scrap is good for me

As we got this thread open I will utilise it.
The intention is to start with a dogfight

    Alb DVa/ Dr1/ Phalz D3 v Camels

Move onto a 2 seater bombing/ Recce with everyone trying to stop, I'm thinking 2 -3 Halberstadt Cl with a Phalz escort V Camels

Then a bit early with Albatross D2 v Pups

    Albatross D3 V Sopwith Triplanes.

So bring along anything you want to take part, remember we are a participation so there may be members of the public joining in.
Ill supply most of the models.

So can I have names of those attending and I'll see how many we can get in .

Lets hope you do a trifle better with the biplanes than the P40's (you were outnumbered though, both times)

Back from Crusade, a very enjoyable day, manage to find two Hurricanes for Ł9 each, bargin. Not Bader but I can re-decal so not an issue.
Good to see a number of Drome members, Armstrongjohn1, Sbutton, Guntruck, Don, Bogue to name them, plus a couple of faces that were familiar.
I will post some pics tomorrow, the Gotha mission was especially enjoyable. But once again was asked about the WW2 version and where people could get Spitfires and ME109s had to say , again, nope sory can't.
The other big question was mats where can we get, not sure what it's like elsewhere Bt UK they seem to be in short supply again.
Anyway pics tomorrow with a report

Glad to hear Penarth was a success Chris, and that you managed to pick up two unlikely Hurricanes at a sensible price.
I look forward to your photographic report.

Jolly good day out, managed to get a WoG game in. Spent too much as usual, but at least managed to finally get hold of a Sails of Glory set and other bits and pieces.
