Received this story about Bill Overstreet. Passed away on Sunday. There is a picture of him chasing a 109 under the Eiffel Tower.

We thank you for your service Mr. Overstreet and mourn your passing. There were so many unsung heroes of WWII and they are slowly leaving this place. I can only hope my son's generation learns of your sacrifices and respect and honor you the way that we do.

Rest in peace, you have earned it.

At 92 I can only think of the things he saw and did in his lifetime. Not many of that generation left.

You mean like crystal radio sets to a the cell phone! In your link the first photo Overstreet was taken at the MAM. The man seated behind him in blue shirt is Hans Meyer a late war ME-109 pilot.

I should have recognized the place from the photo. You must have seen many folks because of the Hanger Series offered at the MAM.

I noticed the young man in the background of the photo. Good sign that this generation will not be forgotten.
