Yes, Kevin did a fantastic job! If you think the AIM's are "cleaner" though, i might have to have him give those a whirl for me too. (For comparison purposes of course. Not because I'm a plane hoarder. )

Very nice and neat. I totally agree with your endorsement of AIM. The models paint up nicely and he's got a good selection of decals.

My new TBF Avengers. Planes courtesy of AIM and decals courtesy of MiscMini. VT-2 on board the USS Hornet. Yes, I am using Heavy Fighter bases (light bomber bases) for them. Their wingspan is 54' so I felt that combined with the triple gun arcs easily justified the base decision. Bases were courtesy of Aerodrome Store.

    Nice work!

    Hornet II (CV-12) or Hornet I (CV-8)?

I see an "Essex" Class carrier i the photo, so I suspect the former.

Lovely work, when I was a kid I spent a lot of Saturday's climbing and playing on them . . . I think there were two stationed at Missoula for fire bombing back then . . .

Nicely done. And yes, Heavy fighter base is appropriate for the Avenger.
