The control tower adds a lot to the ship!

I'd have to look up the translations for _Kaga_ and _Soryu_ to cover all the Midway CVs; _Shokaku_ and _Zuikaku_'s demises were even less poetic....

Looks like what they'd paint on land-based Kates; maybe the groups that got left on Rabaul when their carriers went in for repair.

The red dotted Kate may not be Carrier based, but sure its beautiful. You should add the Kates to the Official Kate Painting Thread.

Content only -- granted, most of the actual death-haiku were written by guys committing seppuku (guys who died on the field usually didn't get a chance to monologue); naturally, they will be incredibly depressing.
