Default Aerodrome accessories markers and Litko bases

Has anyone come up with a non-destructive way of using the Aerodrome Accesories markers (flame, smoke) with Litko bases?

Litko bases are thinner, and when a magnet is mounted on the top with for a gimbal mount, it's not possible to to use a marker.

I realize Litko has their own markers (and I have some), but the Aerodrome Accesories ones are better.

I'm working on this problem myself, but maybe someone has already come up with a solution.

I'm really hoping I don't have to cut the markers to fit around the post.

Another option I was considering was buying a smaller rare earth magnet and sticking it in the marker hole. That way it would stick to the magnet on the base, and still work with a gimbal.

I don't suppose there's any chance of getting an exact measurement of the hole in the markers, is there?

The hole in the marker is 13/64" or 5.4mm. the Litco stand is 1/82" or 3.25mm. Have you thought of making a little press in sleeve for the marker to reduce it to the correct size.?

I've already glued the Aerodrome accessories magnets onto the posts, so the holes are too small, not too large. If I could get a snug magnet it there, it would be perfect.

Are your Liko pegs glued into your bases?

    Sadly, they are.

The holes and pegs aren't cut accurately enough to ensure a snug fit.

Yeah, I know from my days of using them... one of the reasons I designed my own

Let me think on your problem and see if I can come up with something besides just buying my flight stands
