Darryl, you have already been converted to a Gold Member, hence the US rank below your user name I should have sent out a PM, but have been a little busy Thanks for the long time support buddy!
Well DUH on me!!!! Thanks!!!!
Nah, no DUH on you
Finally broke down and put my money where my mouth is (fingers are?).
Went for Gold, as I was soo far over the limits for Silver. I am still sorting out what I'm not earning any more, now that I'm on a pension, and going to college. Also, this weekend, I am gonna take a hit for not studying and go to the BottosCon Gaming Convention in Surrey, BC. So, even more expenses. Talking my better half into letting me buy more planes, even for Christmas, is gonna be rough.
With this subscription, my monthly gaming budget is over $25 ($10 for Skype Premium, $5 for The 'drome, and $10 for fleet upgrading [pitiful, I know, and not sufficient]). This doesn't include a budget to get my plump butt to any conventions (IE: Enfilade 2014 and BottosCon 2013/14, if not trying to make it to Origins 2014 [dreaming in Technicolor here!]).
However, my backlog of pictures from the summer might get up before Christmas, if I can find some free time between homework, projects, reading and helping around the house (OtT Mission 6 Skype Play-Testing, my Black Flight First Mission [a disaster, but I was flying an unfamilair plane X5], etc...). And I will take pictures of the Con, this weekend, too.
Mike
PS: Yay! My Burgess-Dunne is back!

Good to hear from you again Mike Thought you had dropped off the grid or been taken POW
Sounds lie a whole host of Cons going on there in BC so it would be good if you could get a Skype game going /recorded so we could all enjoy the experience.
Good luck with the schooloing , its not easy i know to drop into a class full of people your kids age or younger.

Great to hear from you Mike.
I look forward to seeing your pictures in due course.
What are you taking at College?
Rob.
"Courage is the art of being the only one who knows you're scared to death."
Web Design, to start up a business.
My College web site is at: "mowen.imgd.ca/myweb"
Learning web programming, HTML, cascading style sheets, communication design, and graphics this semester. Next is typography, java scripting, social media, small business management, and effective organizational writing next semester.
The graphics course includes Adobe Illustrator and Photo Shop training, so I might be able to do up good plane cards when I'm done. Some of my work is on the above site. But, even time to work on that site is hard to come by, when trying to keep up with life, wife, and studies. Hobbies aren't even getting the hind teat, right now.

That's very interesting stuff Mike, and should stand you in good stead. It is obviously a very important strand in the WWW. If I had been starting out all over again, I think I would have gone down that road, but of course the only computers at that time were the size of a barn, and not for the ordinary layman to use.
Hope your course delivers all that it looks as though it will.
Good luck.
Rob.

Good for you Mike , My son started out in web design, free lance in France and then with a small firm in the Uk and now is working in Gibratar as Head programmer for the online casino 32Red . Smart boy though he lives on the Spanish side of the boarder

Can we assume that those of us that have paid an annual subscription will have the time that the site was down added on to their subscription period?
Run for your life - there are stupid people everywhere!
Happy to donate the $5 to a worthy cause for the time down.
Keith game his time and effort to get the Circus flying again . so don't expect the Spanish Inquesition

Steve, I'd be happy to add the two weeks to your sub. That goes for anyone else that would like it.
A day (honestly, more than several) late, but nary a dollar short...
I'm in for gold.
Continues without the privilege of Silver account. I have used 18 MB, and has exceeded my limit.
I have just doubled the total attachment size limit for the Silver groups. As things develop on the new server, I'll make adjustments to both Silver and Gold to give you guys more benefits.
Yes indeed. Thank you very much Keith. I hope the new server will cause you less work as we settle in.

"Courage is the art of being the only one who knows you're scared to death."
I bumped the storage amounts for all levels this morning. Free membership is setting at 50MB (was 2MB), Silver is now at 500MB (was 50MB, then 100MB) and finally, Gold was bumped from 500MB to 1GB. Both attachments and album images have these new limits... so a pretty large increase for everyone.
Thanks Keith.
This show just keeps getting better and better.

Thanks, Keith!
The Aerodrome is getting better and better.
Nice one Keith - thanks for accommodating the chaps so quickly
Love it when I buy into something and it just keeps getting better! Thanks, Keith.
I don't actually have those numbers. I could figure out a query to find them but don't really have the time.
Rob, what's the email address or transaction ID from paypal you used to set it up? With either of those I can sort you out. Thanks.
Great news. Now I can start putting back in most of the pics I deleted. Great Christmas present, cheers Keith.
See you on the Dark Side......
I think the recent upgrades are a big step in the right direction, though I wouldn't mind seeing the album limit bumped some. Now that I no longer need a membership, I think I'll buy one.
Has the automatic picture resizing been put in place?
Thanks Todd. Resizing of images takes place when viewing on the site, but there is still no automatic way to resize the actual file that people upload.
Someone shared a super-easy program to re-size pics... I think this is the link: http://www.softpedia.com/get/Multime...-Resizer.shtml
Some interesting stats:
Unique / Total Attachments 82,982 / 79,975
Attachment File-size Sum 10.66 GB
Disk Space Used 10.73 GB
Average Attachment File-size 134.7 KB
Total Downloads 7,559,357
That's just saying that users have uploaded 82,982 attachments to the site, that those attachments take up 10.66 GB of space and have been downloaded 7.5 million times.
How do I get you the money?? Thanks
Take care
Jack
Jack, see if this link works... not sure 100% if it will. From there you should have no problems. Please let me know if you do, and thank you for supporting the site.
After more analysis, I've increased the attachment and album space for the basic membership level by %50. For the Silver level I've doubled the number of photos you can have in your albums. As always, I'll keep and eye on things and make increases when and where I can. Thanks for all the support everyone.
Very good news for the membership Herr Oberst.
Thank you.
Rob.
"Courage is the art of being the only one who knows you're scared to death."
It's good that you don't forget the newbies, Herr Oberst.
I was doubtfully about the speed of the subscribtion project, but it gets more & more clear that this is a contribution and base for the unbroken engagement of you and the Aerodrome staff.
Voilŕ le soleil d'Austerlitz!
The Gold Member's coins have arrived and they look great!
Gold members that paid in full (i.e. not making the $5 monthly payment) should receive an email from me with details on getting your coin sent to you. This email is going to the email address you have on file for Paypal. Please check that account for it. If you do not receive an email from me for some reason and you did make the full payment of $60, please send me a PM here on the site and I'll get you sorted out.
For those Gold members that opted to make the $5 monthly payments, you will be contacted at the end of your first full year of membership (this will start happening sometime in Oct of this year) in regards to getting your coin sent to you. If your one year anniversary passes and you have not heard from me about your coin, please shoot me a PM as a reminder... I've got a lot of stuff going on all the time and I don't want to miss anyone that has chosen to support the site at the highest level.
I also want to take this opportunity to thank all of our supporting members, both Silver and Gold. Without you this site could not continue in the fashion we have all come to know and love. So, thank you!
Keith
That looks very nice!

Very tasteful Herr Oberst.
