Thomas turned up with a home-made storage box for his WW2 planes which everyone who saw it thought was a bit good. Perhaps we can persuade him to do a 'how-to' so everyone can marvel at it?

Run for your life - there are stupid people everywhere!
We finally made it back home! Deborah and I want to thank everyone at Doncaster for a terrific weekend. To all those involved in putting this together a sincere thanks, it was (and hopefully will be again in the future) a great event. Wish we lived closer to you all.
Thanks Guntruck, for the 'Duelling Above the Trenches' mag. Now I'll have to paint up a Welsh Dragon on every type of Sopwith for Deborah to fly. (maybe she'll let me get in a kill once in a while!)
Thanks to all for the warm welcome. It was wonderful to meet so many of you in person that I have connected with over the internet and those met for the first time. As Andrej put it so rightly, the games are fun, but it is the friendship with all you great people that make up this community beyond special.
Thanks for the engraved glasses, we will raise them in honour toasting all those from Doncaster 2014 for years to come.
And thanks for the honour of receiving the flying Snoopy award. He will be present in any of my games when the Red Baron appears!

Good morning Peter and Deborah.
It was a pleasure to meet you both.
I trust that the rest of your trip was enjoyable.
Doing your bit for hands across the ocean.
It is always good to receive support from our American cousins in our struggle for survival against the Central Powers or the Axis.you may notice that in your absence we have acquired two new Lady pilots in the form of Mrs. Kyte, and the Deadly Marian.
Glad you like the glasses. It was my way of saying thanks to all those from overseas who made the effort to join us in our little escapade.
I trust that we may meet again in the flesh at sometime in the future.
Till that time comes, fly safe and watch your six.
Rob and Eileen.

Start of the photo's from our 'World Championship' event ... to confirm an earlier post Neil's Zeppelin control panel is a work of art
and here is the great man himself at the helm
and in the quiet before the carnage that was the Zeppelin free for all we have a pre flight inspection and the final shot of Plant, Page, Jones and Bonham before the fighting started...
More photo's to follow shortly once have completed editing etc. Can't wait to post some from the SE5a vs. D.VII dogfight - they look amazing - even if I do say so myself...
Seeing as I was the sole survivor of the D.VII encounter, I could spin whatever yarn I like and still get a pat on the back, lol
Called returning home after a valiant fight ready to fight again another day..
I'm in the BC flight next time. With a pilot who is a nurse and an Annie Oakley how can you loose
I'm learning to fly, but I ain't got wings
Coming down is the hardest thing
Possibly my favourite shot of the weekend - shows just how much fun everyone (especially Andrzej) had..
Here is the great man in action...
a collection of goggles (and there is the deadly Amy plotting her next kill - for gods sake don't take her on when she has a 2-seater)
a shot of the magnificent (not too strong a word in this instance) trophy deservedly won by Andrzej...
Thanks Chris! I do cherish that moment of triumph If memory serves well, I dealt a deadly salvo to a mighty Brisfit giving it two cards from a close distance: 5+pilot hit and 3+pilot hit. I did hope the crewmen somehow managed to get out of the wreck...
"We do not stop playing when we get old, but we get old when we stop playing."
Separated from the rest of the flight, the lone SE5 emerges from cloud cover
Soon on the tail of a brightly coloured D.VII
crap... there's two of them.. where are my wingmen?
OK - this isn't good.. maybe it means I have been promoted to Wing Commander
quick - try the over dive maneuver - that always works... nope, not this time apparently
The myth about clouds is obviously true - fire out at last, but what's this? another bloody D.VII
Blimey those things can turn fast...
NOT AGAIN - I definitely must have been promoted...
At last... company, its deadly Deborah, I'm saved
Battle is well and truly joined...
A closer look at the enemy (really nice paint job, I must complement him over drinks once I have shot him down)
Another friend arrives - we have you now Fritz !!!!!!!
crap !
Fritz celebrates with a bit of formation flying...
Best gun it and head for some cloud cover..
Not me this time - but not good news for the RFC - oh no its Deborah, we're doomed
Back at ya Fritz, we're still in the fight... dakka dakka dakka..
Escorting a damaged wingman - typical German efficiency
Where is everyone? what do you mean I'm the only one left? (and I only have 3 hits) better put the hammer down and bug out... queue escape from victory theme tune (and Benny Hill theme for a while). Yes Fritz you won't find me in the cloud
Made it home.... just
Great fight everyone, well run, beautiful planes and I didn't get shot down - almost perfect
Earlier in the day found myself surrounded by lots of pretty Triplanes - that blue and yellow one looks ominously familiar
Almost too pretty to shoot down
Next up there were balloons and Bristol Fighters (how many guns???) and even Dolphins, unfortunately for us there were also Hannah and Amy flying Rolands...
Those girls are dangerous and right on my tail (ooh thank goodness for the 'A' rear guns on my Brisfit)
Although it took John Biggles in a Breguet to take the German balloon out - nice work sir...
Great game played in a wonderful atmosphere, and masterfully orchestrated by the hard working Mr. Strangely Brown

Post 716 was so funny Chris that I nearly fell off my stool laughing.

Thank you Rob, needed a good narrative to go with Tim's excellent planes and what was a great fight
Yes indeed.
I'm only sorry I missed a lot of that through being busy on the WW2 table.

Super pictures Chris, and top commentary!
I really must find time to sort all my pictures out.
Nice pics Chris, thought you said you had to run because of damage sustained but you say you only took 3, defo court martial for you me lad.
See you on the Dark Side......
I think had 3 points left. I'd still court martial him for running away though.
Only because I manged to nurse my shattered plane (3 points LEFT) back to base was I able after a few stiff G&Ts, to compose such a humorous report for the benefit of my war weary colleagues providing such a morale boost along the way
And eventually in the fullness of time Hedeby found that his wish had come true! Through all the Wind and fire (especially the fire) he became a Wing Commander and discovered for himself just how much crappy flack was being sent his way.
However, he now gets to relive the action of ten years ago as he flits through these files from the archives of the Sniper's Times and reflects on just how young we all looked back then.
F.O. Kyte. (Air Vice Marshall) Retired thank the Lord.
