Another wonderful looking Drachen! Nice job Chris!
Super sausage!
I never managed to acquire an AIM one - I think mine might be Red Eagle.
Thanks for the detailed notes on how to 'garnish' it!

Another great job. I really like your color blending & fading technique. It really adds a lot to the model.
Thank you, fellas. I've since emailed Dave @AIM again and he now reports he's replacing the drachen mold and updating the master. Good news!
Those are gorgeous balloons
Never Knowingly Undergunned !!
Nice work guys hope to add pictures of my own here soon.
Nice work Peter! Love the observers! I am sure they are saying...LOOK OUT...Frank Luke is coming!
Good choice adding the observers!
Awesome work Peter. Rep inbound
Excellent job, Peter. I see you have raised the bar yet again. Now I'll have to go back and add observers to mine. With parachutes
Ugly looking thing but well done with your model.
Peter nice observers on that sausage.
Here's to them what are like us. Damn few and they're all dead.
Great job Peter. Need to hit my REP gun with a mallet, the thought's there
Thanks guys. This is my neutral one that I can also use with the French. I have another German one I am adjusting the basket ropes so it looks like it hangs a bit closer to normal. Pics in a few days...
Excellent work Peter! Where did you get that basket from?
Great work Peter. Gorgeous balloons
How did I miss this on Sunday?

Looking pretty awesome!
The figures, are they N scale or HO scale?
I would guess N scale, Dan, much smaller.
Impressive job, Peter!
In the meantime, photos of the balloon prototypes from the new factory have been shared by Ares Games on Facebook:

And I am sure that several of you will repaint them in beautiful ways!
Inspirational balloons Peter!
A Belgian/French Caquot.
This one went through the war getting made I had to strip the paint and start over after experimenting with an oil wash.
Shapeways Reduced Aircraft Factory balloon that I got off eBay
The basket is scratch-built from the corner of a playing card box and florist wire. Parachutes from Tamiya smooth epoxy putty. It's tied to the crossbar with thread so it jiggles when the table is bumped
Figures are cheap 1:100 HO scale.
Really like the sandbag!
