I never managed to acquire an AIM one - I think mine might be Red Eagle.
Thanks for the detailed notes on how to 'garnish' it!

Thanks for the kind words guys, and the REP Craig.

Pete, its on a top shelf of one of the cabinets so not easy to notice. You'll have to see it next time.

    Thanks Guys.

The figures I got off of ebay. A while back Zoe mentioned them and I got some. They are railroad figures. I don't remember the exact scale but they are right about what we need. Some are in the works to man my Gothas and Capronis.

    Looking pretty awesome!

The figures, are they N scale or HO scale?

  42. #192

    Default

I would guess N scale, Dan, much smaller.

    A Belgian/French Caquot.
This one went through the war getting made I had to strip the paint and start over after experimenting with an oil wash.
Shapeways Reduced Aircraft Factory balloon that I got off eBay
The basket is scratch-built from the corner of a playing card box and florist wire. Parachutes from Tamiya smooth epoxy putty. It's tied to the crossbar with thread so it jiggles when the table is bumped
Figures are cheap 1:100 HO scale.
