    Exclamation "Grid" Caldwell's 60 Sqd N17

Here is one that I had planned to do for the Nieuport Painting Comp but unfortunately got a badly "knitted" model which would have been a disaster for the overall Silver finish.
A colour profile of this Aircraft is shown in Ospreys Elite Unit book on 60 Sqd.
Overall colour is GW's Chainmail with a home brew metallic Blue cowl which the profile seems to confirm.
Codex Grey tyres & the usual Blood red & Ultramarine blue for the tail, Snakebite Leather for struts, prop etc.
Popped in a Peter Pig pilot & all done. Oh! letter & number decals from Micro Scale & rondels from Dom.
"Grid" whose first name was Keith was an outstanding NZ pilot with 25 victories.

Nicely done Baz. I like the historic re-paints and names to planes. Makes them more 'historically accurate' alongside the Ares/Nexus mini's.
