The sun was high in the sky, a royal squadron was scouting the frontier, two SOPWITH CAMEL flying high spotted a group of german planes some hundread yards ahead.
The enemy planes changed direction, one fokkerd Dr1 and one Albatross D5 reached them in no time. A one vs one started immediately.
Two of them went south
The other two went north trying not to go too far away.
Dancing in the sky was not easy and soon all four where dodging bullets.
First blood was for the british planes...a quick turn and the albatross received a small burst.
The other planes where also dodging bullets...with not much luck...
The speed of the planes proved deadly and in no time two planes nearly collided
Pilots engaged head to head but luckily for the british pilot the enmy guns were jammed.
The royal pilots luck ended with a called shot from the albatross...one of the camels caught fire...
and in no time crashed
A SE5A joined the fight
The reamining camel pilot avenged his fellow warrior getting both enemy planes...first the albatross...then the Dr1
Both planes then checked the downed camel but no one survived...just flames all over the crash site.
