Default Unofficial OTTFM Mission 6 - Flashes "Boot on the other foot" - 23rd July 1918

Lt Ric O’Shea, 2Lts Horace Cope, Hugh Jundys, and new boy Bob Downe are called into Uncles office shortly before the afternoons patrol for an urgent briefing.
“Like we did a few days ago the Germans have been conducting bombing missions deep behind the lines, probably in response to our attacks. We had to escort our chaps home and now they have to do the same – we have an opportunity, gentlemen, to have a go at some of their most powerful offensive weapons, some of which have been used against Blighty, and destroy them.” Uncle looked into the eyes of each pilot and was pleased with what he saw.
“Information is still coming in on their course and possible crossing point over the lines we will give you the latest information just before you take off – we have little time and you will have to get up in whatever is available – Downe will have to take my Dolphin. Try and bring it back in one piece lad.” He smiled at the newest Bulldog.
“Will do sir” was all that Downe could say.

In the air the flight made for the intercept point – the faster SE5a & Sopwith Dolphin piloted by Jundys & Downe proscribed a roundabout route so as to sandwich the lumbering bombers as they made for their lines. The huge beasts were easy to spot but one was almost home before they could get to him

    Thumbs up

Thats what rainey days are for Flash! Giving the old Hun a smack or two although they did give your chaps a bit of a wack as well!

    A cracking mission chaps.
It gives a good impression of what the AAR controlled aircraft are like when the boot is on the other foot so to speak.
    Beer crate on its way.
