Thread: Hor's d'Combat

    Default Hor's d'Combat

Well chaps join me in a jolly last round of G&T's. Last night in the mess before going under the quack's knife to get that neck problem from a bumpy, very bumpy, crash landing the other week sorted. So I'll be hor's d'Combat for a while. I think my next mission is Border Reiver 2013, whatever that little beannie entails? I'm sure GHQ has it all in hand.

TTFN, see you all on the dark side.................................

Neil, hope all goes well with THE knife.

And a fast recovery, so we can have our second skype game.

    Hang in there oild chap.
We will all be thinking of you. Remember the Quacks are a lot better now than they were in the last war. Even the Boers admit it.*
Failing that we will auction your goods and chattles, and send the money raised to your next of kin.

On your return there will be a gong for being wounded in the line of duty.
But even more important, a great big G&T.
Get well soon. Your Border Reiver needs you.
    Kyte.

Ps.* That's the Boers "Horse de combat".

Cheers for all the good wishes chaps. Bit of a bumpy landing and had to wait longer for take off but got there in the end. Bit of a blip last night and the scissors and bandage brigade had to up the pain killers. Back on the road to mend but can't do a thing for 6 weeks. Well swmbo has told me I can paint some of my 'toys' downstairs. Now where did I put those 2 Valom Pups, the Zeppelin Staaken and the whole Union VI corps that need basing done for Gettysburg at Border Reiver? Look like I have my hands full. Might as well make the most of it.

    Seen elsewhere:

"'Hors de combat' does not mean 'being invalided home with VD'. I Stand Corrected."

Glad you are on the mend Neil - take it easy, and try and find a doc who is willing to tell SWMBO that Wings of Glory activities are rehabilitation exercises
