Good to see you in the Drome again, Jan
Well, I fully agree to 30th May - 1st June. The deal is done for me and my Flight.

"We do not stop playing when we get old, but we get old when we stop playing."
I have voted for the 2 weekends I would most prefer to come however I may be able to come whatever weekend is chosen.
At present this will depend on:
1. swmbo
2. A new job
See you on the Dark Side......
I have voted for the 2 weekends that look the more promising to me. However I may be able to come whatever weekend is finally chosen but this is dependent on two things:
1. swmbo
2. Finding a new job
That being said I would be happy to run either a WW1 or WW2 game.
See you on the Dark Side......
Hence we don't have WW3 (yet, at least ) that'll do the job at its best
Jelena and I would be very glad to play with altitude
..............................
Maybe all participants should anounce which planes will be brought to Con.
And, finally, is 30th May - 1st June final final decision, or is it still shaky non-final?
I see it final
Sven?
Heмaњa - I picture you as another Game Master for a (possibly early war) scenario taking place somewhere on the Balkan/Eastern Front (WGF or WGS), even a fantasy one Do you have any ideas?
"We do not stop playing when we get old, but we get old when we stop playing."
My first attempt at Google Spreadsheet. An example of what I think it should be...
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/...ext=true#gid=0
Treat the Schedule as a rough example and edit fill it according to your expectations, chaps.

"We do not stop playing when we get old, but we get old when we stop playing."
Then we'll meet at this weekend in Prague.
A chance to playtest my WW II Origins scenario.
Dan-Sam is there, Ladinek has capacities, Honza & me caring for WW II, Watchdog (...has intesive studied 5 month and is happy to relax with a WW I game without GM work), Czech Wing there, Serbian fighter duo can join with original Ares Games SPAD VIIs, maybe British reenforcements, birth of another Belgian pilot....

Voilŕ le soleil d'Austerlitz!
Ok then, tonight I'll change the OP with al the new info and will start adding the names of the people who will attend. Will more nationalities join this year's edition? I hope so!
Again I can not yet make promises but I'll do my best to come as well! I'm already brainstorming over a game to! Maybe defence of the Reich with Dora's, P-51 and some Fortresses... Or a mission with a Bv222...
OK, if the last May weekend is final, I am in (thank you, you can not imagine how important is this for me).
I have an idea - what about start with early planes or campaign (for both eras) and continue to latest? Start with AIRCO DH.2 in the morning and end with Sopwith Snipe in the evening? Or from Battle of France to Bombing campaign over Germany for WWII? It should be better then a couple of random missions...
And of course, we can prepare and test some missions here in our gaming events in Prague.
Good to hear that, Dan! Nice ideas.
Now we should appoint a liaison officer from the Czech Wing who will be responsible for local arrangements, since Jan will be too busy with his studies, I'm affraid...
"We do not stop playing when we get old, but we get old when we stop playing."
No problem. Place should be OK (same as last year, thanks to Ladinek) and we can try think about space layout for both "campaigns". The timetable should be liberal, because nobody can not.imagina how long will takes misssions with 6+ players or beer brakes (or coffee breakes?).
Missions will be organize by it's GMs.
These are only some of things to solve What next?
Lada's place is perfect one. Liberal schedule worked great last year, and I am completely for such option.
Important thing is: is Sunday gaming day, too?
Also, would it be to rough if entrance to Con would equal buying at least one plane at Ladinek?
And, last one, maybe we should pre-agree on some good local beerhouse, recommended by our kind hosts? I rememBEER Watchdog had few good ideas about that!
I think we can work with sector timetable - for example: plan one or two missions in the morning, two or three after the lunch and one or two for the evening. I expect there will be more people in Saturday, but I am able to play all three days. But we have to count with early departures of some people.
I do not understand your second question - there was any entrance fee last time? If you are asking about possibility of buyng miniatures, Lada has many minis in his store.
We are visiting a pub about three minutes from LGS often, but if you want, we can try another in this area. And, of course, we know many good pubs in Prague
Some thoughts:
1. buying a "ticket: mini from Ladinek is a PERFECT idea We can think about prizes for the winners that we could buy at his shop.
2. beer is a must.
3. strict timetable of games is a must IMHO, believe me. We should stick to tables and hours. The gong is the gong. "15 min. left Gentlemen!" and so on. I had a pleasure observing how it goes during Origins 2013. You all see WoG is a special game, in which you may be shot down in the first 10 minutes of a given scenario and while others continue having a good time you sit in a corner. In my concept you wait one turn and join the fray. That is why the scenarios should be streamlined, allowing multiple entries for both sides, not a "hit and run" ones. 2 hours is a fine time. In the last game during origins Keith arranged a play for 24 people, we played for 4 hours and there was no downtime.
If we do not create a schedule of games we can easily loose our time deciding what to play on the spot.
We shall report for duty at specific hour, play - play - play - have a drink break than play - play -play and paint the town red afterwards
This is my point of view, of course.
"We do not stop playing when we get old, but we get old when we stop playing."
Buing a mini - a possibility, but not a duty. I can imagine that many of us will not.need.any other plane. But Lada hope there will be the newest serie of WGF, so wvetyone who want can buy new planes there.
That is why a talked about sector timetable. May be we will have a third table (smaller? for only one map?) where can be completely free games - "sit and play". It solve the problem when anybody comes too late for the start of the sector and do not want to wait until the sector will be finished. Your oppinion?
OK, I will suggest to Lada and we will see. I think that every table needs it's own tablekeeper who will organize the game ("Please, end your planning phase, gentlemen.") and keep the time ("Fifteen minutes to the end of section."). This role can be changeable (nobody wants do this all the weekend) so this man can be the same who will be the author of scenario (?).
Thebladt thing is space for our lagguage with planes - I know much space can occupy my case with minis, so I prefer a special place for them.
Time table sectoring might "dilute" mass games. And Con is good opportunity to make 15+, or even 20+ games. So, maybe good thing is to fix big games, and lesser ones plan accordingly.
"Tickets" didn't exist last year, but supporting Ladinek's store in way of mandatory buying one plane per person is something wouldn't hurt.
I bought 2x Bf.110, 1x Aviatik and 2x Nieuport and a third of a 2nd prize at the last Con.
That's the "entrance" for about 5 players.
I think Ladinek will loose this year a few planes to me, again.
As long as we don't have to pay a leasing fee, the entry should be for free, too.
...and consider the youngsters and newbies.
Voilŕ le soleil d'Austerlitz!
Hmm, hmm, I am thinking about solution. What about daily playing two eras and in the evening "big battles" for 10+ players? For example WWI on Friday and WWII on Saturday. The gold end of the day and after that will be only "debriefing" in pub...eh...I wanted to say "briefing room", of course
For youngers or newbies there will be the third table too. Or do you think something another, Sven?
Looking good on the spreadsheet Andrej. Now the weekend is confirmed I'll try and get that all important weekend pass confirmed too. If there is space would love to run a WW2 game, Pacific theatre sink the carrier. I can bring most of the stuff so no worries there. Now where's those chocolates and flowers for swmbo?
See you on the Dark Side......
OK, 2 hours per game looks good.
Neil, if you want, bring it - it might be one of scenarious. I think most WWII players would.like to try more scenarios then one and with 4 games per day + gold in the evening, there is a space for it. Andrzej's spreadsheet looks good, now we can think about missions Andrzej, Sven, what is your oppinion about starting with early and ending with latest planes?
Good idea for WW I.
I can bring my Richthofen's Fokker E.III with me for the first battle.
For WW II I think we'll jump from theater to theater. BoB - Early Pacific - North Africa - Late War Europe/Pacific
...and the Balkan.

Voilŕ le soleil d'Austerlitz!
The OP has been edited with all the info I think was useful. If I forgotten something or someone please pm so we don't clutter the topic. Put myself on the list of participants to as I'll do my best to join!!
About the games: I'd prefer a system where the games are timed. Last year I started with WWI (first ever game!!) and then switched to WWII. Because the end and beginning of the different games never were equal I could not make the switch back to WWI. With games that have defined beginning and ending time-wise, one can plan the games he wants to join. If that is done by schedule or sector timetable that is up for the GM to decide I guess.
I bought 5 mini's, the WWI R&A pack and a Nexus Balloon Buster set. Back home I order a new gaming mat and 4 more mini's. I think that settles for a whole bunch of other participants then . I think that it isn't necessary to force people to buy a mini as most of them will do so when there is something they want.
@Thomas: Happy That is the reason I insist on timing and schedules. It really makes the gaming organized and streamlined.
A one GM is a person of absolute importance. He/She (always a scenario designer) runs the game, play it as well and distributes damage cards. With lots of players on both sides it may go like we did during Origins (it was Keith's invention): "OK, first maneuver card laid down chaps? Now everybody measures the distance. Right. Those of you who got shot at raise your hands!" and then Keith was running around the table distributing damage cards to those concerned.
Take a look how the big game looked like
"We do not stop playing when we get old, but we get old when we stop playing."
OK, it seem I must say good bye to Battle of France, because Sven's idea is reasonable May be we can play minority theatres in Sunday (Norway, France, Eastern Front, Balkan)? Your oppinions?
OK, I think we can precise the role of GM here together, because he (or she? ) will be the most important person for every game.
NO you do not have to, Dan. We have all the planes necessary for the battle over France: Stukas, Me 109/110, He 111, Hurries, even D520! I'd like to fly D520 (for the first time in my gaming life)
Please be the Game Master of The Battle of France
"We do not stop playing when we get old, but we get old when we stop playing."
No reason to skip the Battle of France, wingman.
Just make a suggestion and we will fly.
Will be nice to see the Dewotoine D.520 in action.
Have no access to the spreadsheet at the moment, but will enlist as a GM for shure.
Voilŕ le soleil d'Austerlitz!
And we're gonna have a native Belgian Ace
"We do not stop playing when we get old, but we get old when we stop playing."
Let's leave it as an option for future - we can use D520 in Africa on the Axis side. We will see how it goes with other missions
I have one more thing to consider - dramaturgy of the whole weekend:
Friday - warm-up games, gold mission for WWI
Saturday - main part of the Con, two campaigns, gold mission for WWII
Sunday - Minority campaigns?, what else?
Sat. evening: the usual beerbriefing time, Sun. afternoon: rizek & knedliky, farewell
"We do not stop playing when we get old, but we get old when we stop playing."
Looking very good and exactly what is needed for a streamlined Convention... I see you leave one hour between games? Isn't that a bit to much? Maybe a half an hour will suffice and then we can squeeze in a fifth game? Waiting an hour for a new game to begin can be asking to much of a players patience. Off course a GM much have time to set up the next game. As I have little to no experience I can be wrong here...
Thank you Andrzej!! Negotiations have already started with SMWBO and are looking very good. Only thing is we are on a family weekend but I'll look to leave early and head for Prague...
Maybe something like this
Friday
Warm-up games (loose games decided on the spot or via GM who prepared a game)
Saterday
Table1 is WWI campaign inspired (as there are four games planned each game moves 1 year up in the timetable..)
Table 2 is WWII theatre inspired (France - Bob - Pacific - Desert - Eastern Front)
Table 3 is a catch-up table (Joined the con late or killed early? Play some quick games here but be prepared to end it quick or leave everything if you want to join the next game...)
The gold game, all players join for a mass battle of WWI or WWII
Sunday
Some smaller games to rehab or to play something for which we didn't had the time saturday.
As to the break time - you are right, Thomas, let's modify that. 30 min. for clean up, beer and setting up is fairly enough.
"We do not stop playing when we get old, but we get old when we stop playing."
- I can bring over 1/200 FW1090A, Airacobra and FW200 Condor. Unpainted but flying.
- guys don't forget we need enough mats
- Sven: wingman please bring over the Battle of Britain mat, we will play BoB missions right?
- Neil: yeah, Pacific, let's do it! Bring the stuff over
I can bring my 2*1m felt desert mat ready to use after unfolding plus the same size Pacific vinyl mat.
From my experience: we may need a paper-stick tape to firmly attach previously rolled vinyl mats.
"We do not stop playing when we get old, but we get old when we stop playing."
By the way, I tried upgrade Andrzej's spreadsheet. Hope you will not be angry with me.
Check it, please: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/...mc&usp=sharing
Everybody feel free to update the sheet, please. It is not mine, by no means
"We do not stop playing when we get old, but we get old when we stop playing."
Please, if you want to allow an acces, send me a request - I will allow you in the evening (I am in my office now and Googledocs are prohibited here).
Oo, if you want to be a GM, send a PM to Andrzej or Honza - they can edit the sheet now too.
Things went rather fast during negotiations yesterday evening and I booked a flight and hotel. So I can confirm my participation to this years Con!! Will be arriving friday late 22h15 at Prague Airport and will be leaving on monday morning. Since I'm alone and on a budget I booked at the Botel Racek where Sven stayed last year.
I'm also thinking about being a GM for the following game:
Returning to base:
A stream of Me262 jetfighters are returning to their airfield chased by P-51's. The airfield is defended by FW190D of the Platzschutzstaffel or Papagei Staffel.
Players take the P-51's and Fw190D's. The Me262's are unarmed (returning from combat) and flown by AI and preprogrammed course (landing procedure). If an Me262 has landed or been destroyed an new one enters the game. If a player has been killed he/she re-enters the game at a preset place and altitude.
Victory will be determined by points (Me262's destroyed or landed safe, and P51's or Fw190's killed).
Have already tracked Me262 miniatures but will have to convince SWMBO that I need them and that might take a while definitely after booking the flight and hotel.
Very cool scenario, Thomas! Mustangs will have to take tough decisions: attack Schwalbes or Papageis
"We do not stop playing when we get old, but we get old when we stop playing."
I like it and I added it to the sheet as the last "non-gold" mission of the day I lookforward to Schwalbes.
Good news Thomas!
Botel Racek is a good choice. (I hope we have no high water )
...and a great scenario idea!
Voilŕ le soleil d'Austerlitz!
As Me-262s are returning from the mission, I suggest that they don't start undamaged (at least not all of them) . Some of them might have even some permanent damage (rudder, pilot, motor...).
P.S. If we'll have Friday Night's Debriefing, well, I guess we'll have some of Saturday's Morning After. So, guys, do you really believe that Saturday's schedule is obtainable, with it's early start at 9:30?
