I'll should be running a WoG game at Council of Five Nations in the Fall. Haven't picked out the exact scenario but it will be
a bomber run of some type.
Looking forward to getting series VI minis.

Welcome from Illinois, Peter.
Let us know how your event goes.
Welcome from the United Kingdom
Hi Peter, and welcome to the 'drome from over here in the UK
Welcome to the 'drome Peter from a gloomy East Sussex in England this morning - if you click on Settings at the top right of this page, then Edit Avatar under Settings on the left of the next you can pick yourself a kite from the flight line and join the rest of us mad fools in the sky !
On behalf of the pilots based here in Dear old Blighty, welcome to the Drome Peter.
You can find a lot of AARs with bomber missions on the Drome. We are just about to start one on our Over the Trenches solo campaign, which also contains quite a few others with the AARs to accompany them. You may find them of interest.
Rob.
Hello Peter, welcome to the group!!!
Cheers from Poland, Peter Welcome!
Howdy from Kansas, Peter. Sounds like it could be a fun scenario, and I think you'll be pleased with the new minis!
Welcome from the Buckeye state!
Welcome from Philly.
Welcome from Pensacola, Florida
Welcome aboard Peter, glad to have you here.
Thomas
Welcome to the Aerodrome, Peter, from here near Norwich in the United Kingdom.
I'm late, but Welcome from Arizona
Hi Ed, thanks for the welcome.
I'll be out your way in a couple of weeks for a friend's wedding in Phoenix. I was hoping to go to GC, Brice and Zion but have to have a backup plan. What would you say are the better areas for hiking/sight seeing in Arizona?
Thanks,
Peter

I finally ran my game at the Council of Five Nations. Battle report posted in AAR folder.
Hey Peter - I played at your event at CoFN, and thanks so much for the awesome time. It truly was the most fun I had at the con. I ordered a bunch of planes, you have re-ignited my love of WoG. Thanks for an awesome time!
Jeremy,
Thanks for playing and glad you enjoyed the air battle. Next year I'll run another game or two. Now with 4 mats I think I can use the big bombers.
Hey Peter - don't know if this helps, but I have two pics from the Council event. They're not great, as I am no photographer, but in case you wanted them for your records. I couldn't post them to the AAR section.
Great! If you could post them over in the AAR that would be cool. Take some of the heat off of me for not posting photos.
Good grief - I'm not sure how I missed this! I would've really liked to join you guys.
I'm pretty new here - are there any threads I should subscribe to so I can stay on top of any Northeastern/New England meet ups?
Thanks!
If there is a New England thread I'm not aware of it. I am kinda new here myself too. I'll definitely post when I plan to run a game whenever I can though. I usually go to the 'local' cons like HAVOC, Council of Five Natioon and HUZZAH!
Hey Peter - for some reason it won't let me post to your AAR post, not sure why - maybe I haven't been here long enough yet to post everywhere?
Sorry I can't help as I am quite new here too. I'll see what I can do saving the images and posting them in the AAR.
Ok Jeremy, I just saved your photos and then posted. Thanks for taking these pics!

Hi Eduardo,
I'm on Cape Cod, Falmouth. I'm about an hour and a half from Providence.
HAVOC is in the spring up near Worcester, Council of Five Nations is in Schenectady NY, (not really local)
Columbus Day weekend, and Huzzah! is in Portland Maine usually run in May.
I think there is a con in eastern CT, Ellis Con. More of a game day at a school. Used to be anyway.
I've never heard of any con in RI.
I just posted a few photos from the air museum in Mesa Arizona. Anyone been there?
Hi Ed, sad to report the pilot/owner of 'Stang' recently passed away as there was a memorial poster at his plane.
Nice museum. A couple of the planes in your photos were not there last week. Now I have to find some closer to me!
No New England thread that I know of either... but I can confirm that HAVOC is a blast (potentially nearing the end of its run, however). Haven't been to either CoFN or HUZZAH!
I've been absent for a spell, so I missed this conversation earlier... I've got to check out that AAR!
Yes, a last blast for Havoc it seams. I will run some WoG there on whatever Saturday it falls on.
Outstanding news! I was unable to attend last year, but have penciled it in for this upcoming year... If you're running a game, I'd be more than honored to fly in it!
Saturday is typically the day in which I can escape from the homestead for a spell.
And it looks like the Saturday in question in going to be the 29th of March (runs 28-30 March).

Well the 29th it is then. I will run one Wings game, either the afternoon or evening time slots. Its a ways off so will have plenty of time to come up with a hopefully interesting scenario.
Truly a long way off... but pencil me in. And I'll see if I can get my act together and reciprocate.
Sorry so late, but welcome from Columbus, Ohio Peter. Excellent AAR!
Thanks Kirk, Someday I hope to get out your way to Origins. I went to it way back when it moved around and I went to I think Baltimore back in the 90's. This year might be tough as I'm supposed to have a spring trip to Great Britain, we'll see if I can wing it to both.
Havoc ended up a great day of flying. Fast.git put on an afternoon fighter sweep. Chris took some photos I'm sure he'll share. He gave me a Bristol F.2B to fly, nice having a 2 seater that can Immelmann. Well, my wingman was quickly shot down and I briefly faced an Albatross and Dr1. Luckily for me the Albatross wandered away to the big furball and I danced with the Dr1 for a while. He somehow spent most of the time in my blind spots (luckily also not able to shoot at me) but when he didn't I made him pay and down he went. One Hun blew up on the first shot at him, and again several shots later in his new plane, lucky guy!
I ran bombing runs in the evening, 2 Caproni CA3s with 4 escorts vs 6 German scouts. At one point 5 planes were on fire with 2 allied planes, a Caproin and SE5A, being both lit up by a collision caused by it's SE5A escort! Chris flew the yellow Halberstadt CL II using the Roland base with the nasty firing arc. After hammering a Caproni and chewing up escorts he was finally shot down but his resurrection showed up in the nick of time to put more fire into the last bomber nearing the target. Just as the bomber was readying to drop its load of presents, ground fire inflicted a critical hit and caused it to veer off to the left at the last second missing the target. (my random critical hit chart)
Both games has 10-12 pilots so there was lots of action.
Lots of smoke and fire! The grey Caproni started burning with a shot from the burning Roland. How nice of him to share the heat!

The grey Caproni was put on fire again while burning, never to reach its intended target.

Went down in a blazing inferno on all sides there then Peter.
i haven't seen that much flame and smoke since my last game.
Rob.
"Courage is the art of being the only one who knows you're scared to death."
I thought I was covered with 5 each smoke and fire markers but I think I had better make a few more. Using triple decks really add to the mayhem!
Nice AAR Peter....You know you are having a good time if there is flame and smoke.
Funny when you have really nice looking smoke and flames, people like to have them on as a badge of courage.
Flames are, apparently, contagious.
I have some pics of Peter's game, and will post tomorrow. My game? Almost none... got carried away in the action and snapped only a couple... but you'll get those as well.
