Thread: Official Fiat G.50 painting thread

Default Official Fiat G.50 painting thread

My latest 1/200 AIM project was three Fiat G.50s of the Italian Aviazione Legionaria. They saw service with the Nationalists during the last months of the Spanish Civil War.

The resin miniatures were a joy to paint, although the 14 home made decals per aircraft was a bit of a chore! Full details regarding the aircraft and a copy of the decal sheet I made up here: http://www.wingsofwar.org/forums/sho...one-Legionaria

Yet another very nicely done flight of unusual aircraft Carl.
The Spanish Civil War is another area in which i am no scholar, but they look great to me.

    These are my Fiat's G.50.

    They're quite good.

    I need cards. Anyone?

    These are the stats:

    Deck: K
    Weapons: B/A
    Damage: 15

As fine a flight of Hurricane fodder as I have seen for many a long day.

    Thanks again, Rob.
The G.50's will also fight in the Civil war.
I'm painting the Macchi mc.202 for later in 1941.

Looks good both of you; I'll have to put a few on the buy-list for my embattled Finns (WGS and CY6 and maybe Buffalo Wings).

Kevin, is this 1/200 scale? Very good indeed.

Usually, the card supports the paint job. Perhaps this will be inspiration?

PS: Any unit/pilot that might be suitable for this?

The G.50 is a beautiful bird.

I'm hoping to paint up some 1:144 ones worthy of those cards!

Great looking planes Mike. I have a few in my queue to paint, and thus will decide the scheme!

Pretty much the same stats, but trying to find a top-down drawing?
