Well I don't have an iOS device and it is unfortunate because this is the only app I think I'd pick up. Ace Patrol is free to download and you get those introductory missions and multiplayer are all that's in the basic free version.
Here is the link to the video which is getting 9.5 out of 10 stars.

Hmm, after I found Ace Patrol I found another one but this is for those WWII fans. World of Aircraft from the makers of World of Warplanes which is currently in a closed beta version. World of Aircraft is not yet released scheduled later this month but the demo Here looked promising.

If PC games are your thing, there are a number of games online giving This as an example.
These are to tide you over until your next match of Wings of War of course.

I down loaded it on my wife's IPAD and it is great, but if you want to play it all, it will cost you about $15.00 for all the upgrades but it is worth it totally. Now my wife wants her IPAD back every time I'm playing Ace Patrol, I guess I should listen to her more.

I realize the developers don't feel the money's there, but I wish they'd make a PC version of these.
