SND - International Skype Game - Threeway Dogfight!

This is an advanced set-up for a game between: Doug, Australia; OldGuy59, Canada; and tikkifriend, France.

Rough, straight line distances:
Toowoomba, Australia to Comox, Canada: 11,816 kms = 7,342 miles
Comox, Canada to Talvern, France: 7,808 kms = 4,851 miles

tikkifriend and I are shown in the following link:

Game is on early tomorrow morning for me (1:00 AM), morning for tikkifriend (10:00 AM), and evening for Doug (6:00 PM). So, this just fits into the Saturday Night Dogfight thread.

Set-up Pictures:

Table and computer, with Webcam attached to the dining room light for an overhead view.


The playing area is indicated by the business cards on the table. It works out to 2X3 feet or 60X90 cms. This is a limitation of the capture area of the camera. I raised the light as high as I could, without putting the computer on a pedestal too. I've played a solo game to test it, and will post the results of that game, too. The low resolution on zoom and the lack of manual focus means this camera is being returned.

Yes it will be interesting to see how this all pans out.
Having followed the developments so far, a lot of thought and effort have already gone into this project.

Mikes overhead camera worked fantastically, allowing far less "mini drift" than in previous games, and with the potential of upto 4 players via the Skype Premium the possibilities are endless.

Thanks to Mike for staying up till the early hours to finish the game.
