    Default Damage Decks, new approach

    I was thinking about making damage even more unexpected, and I came to this system, which allows various combinations between normal and special damage – you can have 0 and wounded pilot or 5 and flame*, for example. All usual rules apply, as those two chits are considered one card.
    *And if you take 0 and Flame, you are on fire 1 move.

    Each time you are hit, you draw one normal damage and one special damage (first you look in Normal).

    Normal Deck consists of chits with just points values and Boom cards (if you take Boom, you don’t take special damage).
    Special Deck consists of chits with special damage and empty chits.

    It all corresponds to actual Damage Decks.
    Those chits should be considered as „halfcards“ (normal chit and special chit making full card).

    That's a very different way of doing it, may be a bit long winded for some but a nice idea.

    Interesting idea, but not for me I'm afraid.
    I find things quite exciting enough as the cards deal them out at present.

    Nice innovation, but not for me. The chits are one of the things I dislike about the ww2 version of the game, and something I really plan to make a card version of for the sailing ship game. Just hate the counters and bags bit.

    I am afraid this adds a level of complexity in terms of game mechanics without sufficient gain.

    I read on another thread about using poker chips with the damage on them, and when you draw a chip, you replace it in the bag. This way, every time a plane takes damage, it has the full possible range of effects. That seems like a more attractive option.

    I feel the same, but in opposite way. And that's why I made chits. System could be used with cards instead of chits with no problem at all. But, if you think system itself is to complicated, I respect that, too.
