Red Eagle have included a comprehensive construction list with this model. However I decided to add my own method of building this behemoth as the addition of cammo decals requires a slightly different approach to the build.

Wow what a fantastic looking plane Rob, cannot wait to see that in action in an AAR very soon.

Superb looking plane Rob. But should this not be in the 'How To' section. I for one will know where to look if I ever get to trying one this difficult.

It will go into there once I notify the Oberst. He holds the keys to that particular Forum.

Pretty good How to Article and superb result. I expecially like your tiny gunners - perfect. Mummy, I also want to be so handy!

Very nice build Rob! Big ole bird, and the precision of your modelling skills really shows in the finished article.

I would like a handley page tbh, but this is a very close 2nd.

A second to none how to article and show of modeling skills that I will never reach in my gaming life. You and Clipper have nailed all of us, who have ever tried to built an unofficial WoW model.
Well, it's great to have a reference like that

Yes, I'm quite afraid to say it has been smuggled out of the country.

    Great build and writeup Rob!

I think the photos cannot judge how good it is in real life, nice building, nice camo, cool plane. I would really like a size comparison with an - say - Dr.1 Why they called them giants ?

    Wonderful model, Rob!

Impressive, how you work with metal & plastics. The result is simply beautiful.

The pictures are perfect - showing the important details.

Does the drome have any decks and plane cards to support a custom build? Just wandered, as the f.o.g is out of print.

The oberst has bases for the ones I would like to try, but without cards it's a bit pointless. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Very beautiful and inspiring. The photo comparison clearly shows how large these giants were. Admirable work.

That's a manful build, Mr Kyte. It's a nice model but I think I'd want to take my Dremel sander to the wing ribs (or wait until Mr Red Eagle re-masters them)

    Hi rob,
Thanks for the photos. I am building the same kit at the moment:wish the instructions had said to apply the transfers before adding the wings to the fusilage...... Have to add the cammo after construction now! Will a picture of my model once its finished in a few weeks, but my painting and cammo application may not be to the high standard you have set above.
Hope Red Eagle review their construction notes and cammo application instructions to your method.

Know what you mean Gunners. It was fine until the British Blockade started to bite.
Just needs feeding up a bit.

    Thanks Ken.
That means that these How to articles are worth while.
It means a lot to know they are actually made use of.
