I downloaded the Solo rules http://tynesidewargames.co.uk/wowrules.html and have used them a few times. Really like them by the way. when you print out the Zone Marker, everyone knows that you must cut them out and glue them together.
I did that....used it.....and could see that it would not last long.
I wanted to give it more strength. I wanted a thin piece of plastic that I could glue the two halves of the Zone Marker to to give it more strength.
I purchased a plastic, what I like to call a report cover. They are the cheap ones that you can find at most big box stores.....this one was from Wal-Mart. Cost, 50 cents.
I wanted something that was pliable but could hold up more than just gluing the two halves of paper stock together.
Okay so what I did was print and cut out the two halves of the Zone Marker.
Cut out a section of the plastic folder. You can use scissors....this stuff is thin.
Next, use some spray bond or equivalent and spray both the plastic and the back of one half of the Zone Marker and place them together.
Let dry for around 30 minutes and trim the excess plastic/paper. Glue the other half to the back of this and trim again. The Zone Marker is done.
My Zone Marker lays flat and does not curl up. The plastic and spray bond glue keep the Zone Marker flexible enough for when I want to lay it down over the base of the airplane model.
Tip:
When cutting out the square section of the Zone Marker, I used an x-acto knife. Worked much better than scissors.
