These points (for two-seaters and multi-engine planes included) make sense for dogfights. Bombings and other scenarios are balanced depending on setup, distances, targets, victory points... At the light of this, there is not so much sense in giving points to bombs and rockets.

    Ciao Andrea,
I was thinking along the same lines...

But i was trying to balance things up for games using also Tripods... how would you handle them? Any rough estimate for Tripods points?

I'd be very happy to help test tripods points in any way if needed (i have the MK.I Locust and MK.IV Cuttlefish).

    Grazie Mille!

Perhaps this thread might help with Tripod balance:
Link> T&T Balancing Strategies, Scenario Play and Related Discussion

Player skill does affect any attempt to balance scenarios. I have moderate maneuver skill, and do OK in dogfights. Not so good in bombing. When I ran a convention game, the players were very good, and focused on their targets. The hits were fast and furious, and on unshielded sides to boot! The tripods only survived, if they did, because of low damage draws.

The suggestions on the T&T thread may be helpful in initially balancing Tripod games? It will depend on the skill level of your group.

    Hi Mike!

Many thanks for suggesting that thread!

Im new to the forum, and this version of the game, so im still finding my way around things...

Those i play with are even newer to the game so im trying to get a strong base of knowledge to have as much of a smooth start for the group as possible.

    Many thanks again!

Corrected a mistake. Ufag is 91, not 83. Sorry.

Anything with more than 1 firing arc should be >100 points, IMO. Because even a Fokker D.VII can't compete.

And anyone who thinks that the 97-point Sopwith Snipe can compete with the 92-point LFG Roland C.II is welcome to prove it to me on the app. I'll bet 2:1 on myself.

Any points deduction for Flying Doctrine Optional Rule?

Is the last line in the above card accurate?

Looked at the entry here: Point System for Wings of Glory - Post #83

It doesn't list the V deck for the Sopwith 1 1/2 Strutter, so I can't fudge the numbers.

Not into the points thing at all but it looks like points are mostly given, or, taken for skills, rather than other options.

Bryan's not been on since he posted this by the looks of it, Mike, so I'd guess the answer will be negative unless someone else took it on.

I'm looking at the planes' points, and the differences in the new decks, to see if I can sus out the values.

    PS:
    Speed Bands:
    Slow (2.9cm 40%): E, G, R, Y
    Average (3.5cm 50%): V, W, X
Fast (4.7cm 80%): Fr (The two hard turns are steep in this deck, not steep in the F), S

PPS - Suggested points for the below decks:
    • E Deck: 1 (Nieuport 11 50)
    • Fr Deck: 10 (N*)(RAF SE-5 89)
    • G Deck: 0 (No official mini?, Watch Your Back boxed set)
    • R Deck: 1 (Nieuport 16 - Ares, with short sideslips 47?)
    • S Deck: 3 (Bristol F.2B Fighter B/B 91)
    • V Deck: 0 (Albatros D.II B 58, Halberstadt CL.II 90)
    • W Deck: 0 (Hannover CL.IIIa 93)
    • X Deck: 0 (Phonix D.I 84)
    • Y Deck: 0 (Albatros C.III 81)

If the above is even close, the Flying Doctrine Option Rule that removes the Immelmann Turn from a maneuver deck is probably less than a point of value in an airplane's rating? Why does that seem wrong to me?
