Of course I'll bring down the Zeppelin for those who fancy their chances against a fully operational battle station!

Might I suggest a badge to add to ones sweat shirt? A bit like the scouts sort of thing.
I would like a "normal" shirt please Rob, let me know how much and I 'll send the necessary.

Come on chaps even if you could only attend for 1 day it will be more than worth it. Chance of a life time.

This is your show chaps, but might I suggest that you break off to a new thread now that the dates and venue have been settled? That would make it much easier for everyone thinking of attending to find the details and follow along. It would also make editing the first post with the list of attendees much easier to track

You could try half the wing logo, like an aircrew brevet, with the event around the letter like the laurels

    brevets.docx

    just a thought?

    I like that idea John.
Attendees may then add the brevet to their existing shirt without having the expense of shelling out for an entirely new one.

Any recommendations on hotels? Where will the most of the attendees stay? I would hate booking a hotel and finding out that I'm the only one there. Are you guys booking for the whole weekend? So friday-saturday and saturday-sunday or are most of you making the trip saturday morning?

Aah point taken but this would be a European International event, lol - and in my defence I was not a member of our glorious organisation two years ago so my ignorance is explainable (well that bit anyway, lol)

I am just checking with Andy what we intend to do when he comes over and will get back to you ASAP.

I've booked Fri-Sat nights at the Premier Inn Doncaster Central East which is about 1/2 Km from the museum, I think someone else is also booked in there as well but don't know which nights.

I'm just busting your chops mate. It's great to see yet another international event coming from this site. All of us made it happen in 2012 and 2013 with the US hosting players from the UK and Poland respectively. There was also the Prague Summer Con this year that saw at least one Brit make the trip over.

You guys adding this one should see three international events happening next year... great stuff from a game site!

Yep got that I'll do some costings, we've got loads of time. Do we want any words to go with it?

I'm sure you can also cancel at the Premier Inns without any cost. A little higher in the cost but well worth it. That's what I'm thinking of and the same one too Doncaster Central EAst.

you could have a D in the middle for Doncaster, N or NAT for National, maybe replace the letter with the Union Flag.
the wording around it; the date, dd/mm/yyyy or whatever format approved by senior officers.
I'm sure others will have ideas.
perhaps this also needs its own thread?

What about the Wing design mooted earlier, Union Jack attached with 2014?

Do bear in mind the more colours the higher the cost.

Lots of quotes, designs to be voted on then lets see what we can do. (We could ask your good lady if she's good at crochet?) Yes I'll take it standing up WingCo

I am resurrecting this thread, just in case there are any new members who missed the original post and wish to join us in our event to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the commencement of WW1. at Doncaster this September.
I know it is still a way off but we should also be refining the programme and deciding a few of the details. For instance I know that there are badges prototypes underway, and also trophys, but exactly who is doing what?
I am arranging a trophy for the Ace of Aces with the Oberst.
Your thoughts on this would be welcome.
