New game mats versus old game mats

I have both of the old game mats but I always find myself wanting a little more space.

Is there anyone here that has the old and new mats?
How do they look next to each other?
Are they the same thickness?

Anyone want to trade two old mats for two new mats?

They are made from the exact same material. The new mats are about 1/2 inch (12mm) longer then the old ones. The biggest differences are...

I don't have them, but with these little differences I think both are really nice to play.I WANT ONE!!!

Just received the mats yesterday and they a nice. I think more for WWII because the ground scale looks like a plane flying higher. Have to try them out the next time I get with my flying buddy.

I missed out on the original mats ,I'm glad I did I much prefer the new ones .
