Some information I dredged up from a number of sources for another forum member about Gotha bomber SCLs which may be of use to others as they customise their minis.
The two internal bomb-bays each hold 4 x 12.5kg PuW bombs
Under the nose there are examples of either:
40 x 1kg Elektron incendiaries (apparently never used operationally according to Osprey)
7 x 12.5kg PuW bombs
2 x 50kg PuW bombs
Underwing and central fuselage (with 100kgs only on fuselage racks), combinations of either:
4 x 20kg PuW, 4 x 50kg PuW, 1 x 100kg PuW
5 x 20kg PuW, 2 x 100kg PuW
7 x 50kg PuW
4 x 50kg PuW, 1 x 100kg PuW
4 x 50kg PuW, 2 x 100kg PuW
Rear bomb rack
unknown, but suspect nothing bigger than 50kg (possibly 2 x 20kg?)
In 'Gotha' (Windsock DF Special) are two pictures of 'a fully-armed Gotha G.IV carrying a load of 467.5kg composing of 7 x 12.5kg PuW (on a single rack across the nose), 4 x 20kg PuW, 4 x 50kg PuW and 1 x 100kg PuW (in the configuration - wing 20, 50, 50 - fuselage 20, 100, 20 - wing 50, 50, 20).
From 'London 1917-18: The Bomber Blitz' (Osprey Campaign 227):
Typical daylight load - 4 x 50kg + 8 x 12.5kg
Typical night load - 2 x 100kg + 5 x 50kg
