Nick, the roundels are from I-94 decals, the numbers are Letraset decals that were rubbed on clear decal film, given two coats of dullcoat and then used like regular decals. Hope this helps, Lloyd

I finished my last four Hanriots yesterday. Two of them are reclaimed from the "stepped" pile of Shapeways and the other two are the replacements. All are Belgian from the 9th Escadrille de Chase, at least that's the unit I think is correct.

By the way you are correct: its the 9th escadrille de chasse that had the Scottish Thistle as it squadron marking

Here's a Hanriot HD.1 that I repainted for my younger brother Greyson as his own personal fighter. He drew out the design he wanted painted on and specified the colors/ decals to use.

Home made decal. It's my personal marking.
I'll upload the files I'm using to print these decals later on in case other members would like using them

Any chance of getting a rendition of that one Ezekiel, especially for all those Spanish Civil War flyers out there.

    Ciao Rob,

here is a nice rendition of this song.

And this is a Spanish/English translation.
Ezekiel will forgive me if the Spanish text is not correct as well as all of you English speaking people will forgive me for butchering Shakespeare's language .

    Cuando canta el gallo negro
es que ya se acaba el día. (x2)
    Si cantarŕ el gallo rojo,
    otro gallo cantaría. (x2)

Ay! Si es que yo miento,
que el cantar que yo canto
    lo borre el viento
    Ay! Que desencanto,
    si me borrara el viento
    lo que yo canto.

    Se encontraron en la arena
los dos gallos frente a frente. (x2)
    El gallo negro era grande,
pero el rojo era valiente. (x2)

Ay! Si es que yo miento,
que el cantar que yo canto
    lo borre el viento.
    Ay! Que desencanto,
    si me borrara el viento
    lo que yo canto.

    Se miraron cara a cara
y atacó el negro primero. (x2)
    El gallo rojo es valiente,
pero el negro es traicionero. (x2)

Ay! Si es que yo miento,
que el cantar de mi canto
    lo borre el viento
    Ay! Que desencanto,
    si me borrara el viento
    lo que yo canto.

    Gallo negro, gallo negro,
gallo negro te lo advierto: (x2)
no se rinde un gallo rojo
más que cuando está ya muerto. (x2)

Ay! Si es que yo miento,
que el cantar de mi canto
    lo borre el viento
    Ay! Que desencanto,
    si me borrara el viento
    lo que yo canto.

    ============================

    When the black rooster crows
it's because the day has ended. (x2)
If the red rooster will crow,
    another would crow too. (x2)

    Oh! If I'm lying,
then let the sound of my song
    be erased by the wind.
    Oh! What a disenchantment,
    if the wind would erase
    what I'm singing.

They met each other in the arena,
the two roosters face to face. (x2)
    the black rooster was big,
but the red rooster was brave. (x2)

    Oh! If I'm lying,
then let the sound of my song
    be erased by the wind.
    Oh! What a disenchantment,
    if the wind would erase
    what I'm singing.

They looked at each other face to face,
and the black rooster attacked first. (x2)
    the red rooster is brave,
but the black rooster is treacherous. (x2)

    Oh! If I'm lying,
then let the sound of my song
    be erased by the wind.
    Oh! What a disenchantment,
    if the wind would erase
    what I'm singing.

    Black rooster, black rooster,
black rooster, I'm warning you: (x2)
a red rooster doesn't give up,
only when it's already dead. (x2)

    Oh! If I'm lying,
then let the sound of my song
    be erased by the wind.
    Oh! What a disenchantment,
    if the wind would erase
    what I'm singing.

Sorry Dave I guess it was my fault for asking about the Red Rooster song that started it getting away.
Maybe someone could move this to the Officers' Club for me.
