Summary:

This is a table top type book loaded with color aircraft profiles and photographs. I found the book particularly interesting in that it covers the air war before Pearl Harbor as well as the period after. The first chapter covers the background of air power in the Pacific in the 30's with color profiles of aircraft of that period and the second chapter to the war in China and Manchuria with color profiles of the aircraft of that period, especially the Soviet built ones used by the Chinese. Also included are color profiles of the aircraft used by the Dutch during the early Japanese onslaught after Pearl Harbor. There are plenty of profiles and photographs of the more familiar aircraft of the Pacific theater. A nice book to have for enthusiasts of the war in the Pacific.
