Now I am even more thankful for the Ares pre-painted aircraft
Cracking paint jobs!
Those look great! Nice job on the Fokker streaky green over blue.
Great Triplanes Alex. Jasta 2 is on my list of want-to paints.
Nice work Alex.
Run for your life - there are stupid people everywhere!
You have made an excellent job of those Alex.
That streaked green is not easy to get looking just right, but you have achieved a very good rendition of it here.

Very nice!
(are those telescoping pointers with gimbals you are using for altitude pegs ?)
Very smart Peter.
Just a shame we won't be seeing them in the flesh this year.
I will, however fly the flag for you.

Very nice Peter, how is the red zigzag done, decal or freehand ?
Lovely Fokker Dr.I and Albatros models, guys! I, too, have several Jasta 2 triplanes in the queue - seeing yours, Alex, is just the inspiration I need
And your Jasta 11 birds are no less inspirational, Peter! So many planes - so little time
All the best,
Matt

Jasta 35b are now finished. 6 D.Viis, 3 Pfalz D.Xiis a Roland D.Vi and an Albatros D.Va.
It took a couple of years but I got there in the end.
Ian
Edit, a better picture

What a pretty bunch of planes, Ian! Well worth the time and effort I love the mix of aircraft here.
All the best,
Matt
Absolutely beautiful!
Like those very much, nicely done Ian
Great Jasta Ian. Gives a lot of variety when playing them.
Thanks for the comments everyone!
My plan is to have a 1918 campaign with new pilots on the rota starting with the Albatros, then work their way up through the Roland, Pfalz and finally the D.Vii. It was easy for my brother (the opponent ), he just painted 6 Camels.
Ian
Superlative set of kites there, Ian!
REP incoming!
Great paintjobs and a really impressive sight.
Guess your brother and his Camels will have a hard time on the gaming table.
Awesome looking sight, Ian.
Would love to have the skills to make my own version for TKE*
* no - not The King's English - The Kaiser's Eagles!
I just found a picture of my first jasta 35 plane taken on 3rd January 2013. 2 years 10 months ago it all began:

Doing the strut-encompassing lozenge in ONE PIECE!!!! Strewth! I never even countenanced that! Even more kudos, old chap!
Great stuff!
Yes, Great stuff, Alex
Nice work Alex - where did you get the decals for jasta Boelcke ?
Sapiens qui vigilat... "He is wise who watches"
Nice work there Alex, really nicely done
Love your 'Boelcke Boys', Alex - Baeumer's tripe makes a nice variation on the scheme with his thicker Balkenkreuzen and black wingtips...
All the best,
Matt
Very nice indeed, I have long had a thing for all of Baumer' various machines and your model of his Dr1 looks to be exceptional. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for yout comments (and rep), guys.
@Dave
You'll find the complete decals for Vallendor and Frommherz on the Fokker DR.I Decals, Part 2 by Aviation Wings, available in the Aerodrome Store.
For Bolle and Bäumer I've used various decals from both Aviation Wings DR.I decal sheets and from 1/144 Direct.
More nice work Alex....cool background.
Very nice work Alex! Makes me want to move this Jasta higher up on my wish to do list!
A really cracking set of models Alex.
Well done.
Rob.
