Here is my Prague 2017 Repaint Contest Entry Aichi Val that scored the 2nd place of which I am so proud of.
It is almost historically accurate Lt. Egusa Takashige that took part in the attack on Pearl Harbor and it's green wingman in the background (load of green paint, what else to do with it?. "Almost", for it's tactical numbers differ and the yellow stripes may not be accurately aligned, but I am happy to have a flight of green Vals for some PTO missions.

The card was made exclusively by Mike "Old Guy". Thanks Mike!

There's a solution for yor "stripe problem". A special masking tape from Tamiya.

I know that tape, old friend, and use it very often . It is perfect. But that time I was too lazy to fiddle with those tiny parts .

Are you planning a massive invasion with Japanese Imperial Navy planes, Steve?

I was thinking the same thing, have seen the excellent work on these and the Kates as well.
The target battleships are going to be HUGE!

    Really nice work, Steve.

Models - Blood Red Skies Aichi D3A

White Fuselage, wings and undersides - Army Painter Spaceship Exterior with covering of Brainmatter Beige
Green fuselage and upper wings - Army Painter Angel Green
Engine cowling and tyres - Vallejo Black 70.950
Canopy - Vallejo Blue Green 70.808

Decals - MiscMini and Blood Red Skies

The soft resin of the BRS miniatures takes primer well and overall, whilst not as crisp as AIM models, serve well to bulk out my IJN forces.
