We begin this battle with 2 Nieuports vs. an Albatross and a Roland... meeting somewhere in the skies over the French battlefield, ~1916.

Apart from the enjoyable narrative and action packed photographs, that cup is wonderful.
We all await the story of its history with baited breath Will.

I can also see the boxes of games that are still shelved in my gaming room: The Hell of Stalingrad and Kaiser's Pirates. Have you played them?

I only have one comment which I have repeated over and over on this site.
NEVER play against a wife or girlfriend. They will get you every time! They seem to have this vendetta thing that just always goes their way

    Thumbs up

Great AAR & Pics! Love the Flying Helmet! Did Greta happen to have the wet celery handy (reference to 'allo, 'allo in case Will you are not aware of that WW2 British comedy!)

Love the Trophy & the Brandy.

Just one comment---Perhaps Jean Pierre should not drink the Brandy BEFORE the fight.
    He sure needed it afterwards!

That was my thought too! Perhaps that's why the gals have such luck...they get the fellas drunk & then take advantage of their opponents diminished capacity! Dames! I tells ya...

I must say that I agree with Chris. Gun jam notwithstanding, the results were... predictable. Looks like you and your wife had fun though, which is what counts after all!

It's events like this which *really* annoy me -- if he'd been flying Hanriots, he'd have wiped the floor with the Germans. Instead, the "mini-fascist" mindset means the Allies are stuck with one of two choices: Maneuverable but slow and easily destroyed (Nieuport; the Camel has more HP but is still slow), or fast and sturdy but handles like a brick (SPAD).

I WANT MY HANRIOTS, DAMN IT! :)

It's time for your dried frog pills again.

Are you toking again FO Kyte?
But I digress; Will has a wife who must truly love him dearly AND no doubt is willing to sacrifice nearly everything to keep him content.
Unfortunately losing at WoG isn't one of those things. Good on her!
Thanks Will; my wife has done the same and I know that I am blessed too.

    Hanriots were Italian, you dolt.

It was the Arch Deacons fault honest Chris. I heard him telling the Bursar that they were Frog pills just before the Dean went off his head again.

Might be a glitch in the auto-save function -- I wrote that, then rechecked, and deleted it.

The Belgians also flew a few Hanriots.

    "dried frog pills???
Pills made of dried frog or pills for dried frogs ... could be a situation at some time that it'd make a difference.
    Just sayin'.

Do you like your crunchy frogs uncooked and lovingly enveloped in chocolate like the whizzo chocolates company does them?

Nah -- I prefer mine barbecued. Besides: Chocolate overwhelms all other flavors -- it's why after-dinner mints are chocolate around mint; the chocolate obliterates everything which came before it so the mint is all which remains. (It's also why basic chocolate ice cream has to have the "may contain nuts" warning; the ice-cream makers take all the leftovers from the various other flavors, dump them in a bin, and pour chocolate over top....)

That is cool that she enjoys you hobby. Mine doesn't mine enjoyment of history. I Aug we went to a open house at a tank museum. She enjoyed them running around and I was thrilled to see them running. Going to an air show in Virgina this weekend and looking forward to it.
