Good job Chris. Snacks for your Eagles?
Good job Chris. Snacks for your Eagles?
Looking great, Chris.
Your Bulldog escorts will have their work cut out for them to prevent "first time to the table" syndrome.
Are there any decals for the BE2.b union jacks available? Any plane cards/stats for the be2.b?
I have a Skytrex model which says BE2.c on the box but from the tail, exhaust, wings looks like a b version?

I've built one of those 'Skytrex/Red Eagle' BE2 models - and yes, it seems much more like a BE2b, or even BE2a!
Looking through my Albums, I don't appear t have taken any photos of it

My version of the Be2a. This has been done as No. 50 built by Hewlett and Blondeau Ltd. Went to Dunkerque on 27th August 1914 as part of RNAS by Wing Commander C R Samson, and flew in the early months of the war in France and Belgium. Sent to the Aegean for the Dardanelles campaign from Tenedos and was still in service in mid-September 1915.
Model: Skytrex BM 132 BE. 2C ( all parts lead it to being an a however without any modification i.e wings aligned, exhaust, landing gear skids, tail)
Paints: Vallejo 70.847 Dark Sand, GW leadbelcher, Abbadon black, White Scar, Mountfang brown
Decals: I-94 Union jacks, various other, Micto-set and sol
Varnish: Galeria Matt Varnish coating.
Decapod drilled peg
Need to find a card (think Tim is creating one) and to think of house rules for Observer using Service rifle/revolver and likelihood of hitting (minimal) with allowable firing arcs.
Any questions, feel free to ask

Nice rendition of a very early war plane.
Good job!

Modified planes are especially challenging!
Great job, Baz! REP
Personally, I would use the same cards/firing arcs found in post 78 and 95 that limit a MG. Even though it's not on a Strange mount you could limit the rifle fire to once every 3 maneuver cards and have it be short range only.
For damage I'd probably go with B deck but limit it to any cards 2 or less if you want special damages available. Or roll a D6: 1 - 3 = hit for that amount damage, 4 - 6 = miss.
Thanks Chris, those house rules look along my train of thought. I would be inclined to add more 0’s to the deck for probability of not-hitting for a handheld weapon at range.
Historically, are there any recorded instances of Be2a observers using rifle/revolver to bring down a plane or injure a pilot?
Very nice Georg. Whenever I see early birds in the painting showcase I get the urge to go paint more myself!
Very nice Georg! Very nice!
Beautiful birds, Georg!
