The dreaded Red X's ?

When I logged on this morning for my daily Forum Fix I was met with a plethora of small Red X's in place of many of the usual icons.
Anyone else have this problem?

I havent' problem with IE (a question mark with Safari) It's like you browser couldn't download or display the icons if the x are in small black squares. I'd start by cleaning the cache, ..

Honestly I've no paid much attention with Safari ....

With Crome I've a problem to display the icons of the forum items but not the icons of the posts...

I've had the same problem for about 24 hrs now.

for other reasons I canceled my IE cache. Now both icons of most of the forums (and some items in the single page) that icons of not all posts are not displayed.

Has not the site had a software upgrade recently?
If so its not compatible with my iPad , will check my desktop later to see if same issue
