Have several extra SS DIII, so far I have only found one more J15 scheme for it. I hope there are more as this is an easy repaint!

Thanks Bob, but all I had to do was paint three white feathers(?).

Nice job Peter. I only bought one extra SSW D.III which I repainted as a Beckhardt (see page 1), but now I wish I had invested in a few more.

That's the pilot. There is already an official card. It is in the WOW Dogfight Booster Pack.

    Thanks Kelly.

Other than the already produced Beaulieu-Marconnay and Josef Veltjens, and the Joachim von Ziegesar above, does anyone know of other J15 planes? The only one I can find is Vallendor.

  19. #69

It's not Vallendor - he never flew with Jasta 15

The "V" plane is an "unknown pilot"

A previous search I did had him associated with the 'V' SS. After more time looking I found Hermann Vallendor flew with J2. Thanks for the heads up Tim.

Originally painted for PragueCon in May of this year, I discovered I had lost the rub-down lettering sheets!!!!
I couldn't find the lettering anywhere (still can't!). I took the plane to Prague in its unfinished state, but did manage to fly her in two of the Richthofen Campaign games, in which she gave a very good account of herself.
I recently managed to acquire another sheet on ebay, so here is the finished plane, finally, painted to match the scheme I developed for my now infamous Fokker D.VII.

Shapeways (RAF?) Siemens-Schuckert D.I. A nearly 1:1 copy of the Nieuport 11 Bebe. Decals by Valom. I tried to match the paint scheme of the camouflaged WoG Halberstadt D.III.

But it is an official WoW plane and was released in Watch your back!. First I thought about customizing a Valom Nieuport kit. The only difference is the engine cowling and the propeller/spinner. But then I decided to give Shapeways a try.

Here is my creation of Siemens Schuckert D.I, based on card available in Immerlmann Booster pack. Ireally liked the paint scheme and the plane itself. Despite the fact that it came to the service too late (due to engine issues and fire in factioy), still it was nice one but unfortunately did not get enough attention. Shapeways model.

Yes, those are 3D printed ones. Source files are available on the internet for free download.

    Default SS D-1 early version

This is my effort to create the SS D-1, early version. It is a Shapeways model with the spinner removed. The fuselage and wings are painted with Apple Barrel brand acrylic Toasted Marshmallow. Decals by Misc Mini.

Nice one Larry - Oh dear, yet another aircraft I don't have in my collection. But Shapeways have a "No Postage Charge" offer on at the moment. Better add one to the list

This is my redone SS D.I. I had a different choice of colors on it (which you can see on my blog) which I hated. Stripped off the paint and used the AK set of WWI German aircraft colors. The decals are Mark I, and once I added them it really made the plane "pop." Looks much better to the eyeball than the digital phone camera. Glued a peg to the bottom, and here is the result!

The SS D.I saga is outlined HERE.

    Great job, Darryl!

I think 'Mark 1' make the best Iron Cross decals to be had anywhere - they are beautifully centred, and the white is VERY strong, and wide enough to provide a superb contrast.
I found a seller on ebay and bought a dozen two-sheet sets!
