Looks cool Officer Kyte? Who's the maker?
If you go here Blake you can find out all about it.

Rob.
Aces, Kyte, pure aces! I'm in the midst of painting one, but it's not going to look anywhere near as good as this one.
That is one supurb piece of modelling Rob.
Wow... Simply beautiful. Hopefully I'll graduate to this level of intensity with this game one day. Simply beautiful
Ooh this ones smokin hot! Nice work
Finally, after more than a year of staring at that little bugger sitting in the middle of my work bench and trying to persuade me that I indeed can win over those damned struts...
Looking good Jan!
Officer Kyte, that step by step build was really cool.
Nice plane
It is great to see that members are taking the bull by the horns, and going for some of the less easy kits.
Well done Jan for sticking with it.
Rob.
I particularly like your Linke-Crawford Jorgen.
Rob.
Nice planes everyone. I like Jörgen's Linke-Crawford's too.
Here's mine, all shapeways.
Home made decals that are based around Zoe's decal images.
Ian
What a wonderfully colourful set of birds they are to Ian.
You have done a cracking job there old chap.
Rob.
Great looking squadron Ian.
Don't drop them on a patterned carpet you might never find them again
Don
Beautiful Kette there my friend. Very impressive.
Wow they sure are a colorful sort, aren't they? They look outstanding though, well done!
Very nicely done and nice How To...Sqn Ldr.

I found it good to have a couple of sets of wings and tail decals for adding a nose band and tidying up the wing edges. The printer I used was very generous with its red so you may want to turn it up a bit on the images before printing.
I hope it all goes well.
Ian
Well done by all, a great looking bunch of models
Wow, those are just fantastic!
Here is my humble offering of an Aviatik C.II one of the early war recon birds who were I guess the German equivelent of the BE2c but armed better.
No where as colourful as the beautiful lozenged bird above but in the early part of the war everything was pretty much CDL!

Well Baz, if we want to do the early stuff we really have to get used to this bland looking finish.
Well done for biting the bullet.
Rob.
to all of you.
Ian, absolutely awesome.

Washed it a little bit with Citadel Shade Seraphim Sepia to copy the camouflage from the plane card.
Voilŕ le soleil d'Austerlitz!
Sweet Aviatik Sven. You've been a busy boy painting lately with this and the Nieuports.
I felt it was time to give some love to the Luftfahrtruppen of Austro-Hungary! I've always had a soft spot for the Aviatik D1 (and for B-deck fighters), so I have decided to create my own Flik to battle in the sky's of Europe. These will be a purely fictional group to whom I will give emblems and possibly even names.
Aviatik D1 of Willi Schreiber.
Just need to paint the foot hole for getting in to finish. I know the decals are not particularly historically accurate but I had a load of Rubicon 1/56 vehicle decals laying around and thought they looked good for the job. Model is an Ares Sabeditsch of which I have picked up a few at a great price.

I do have a half flight of Albatrii, which are fictional, a part of Andy's Waspen Jasta.
They fought through part of our solo campaign some years ago against my Bulldogs, and it was great fun.
I hope you get as much fun out of your Austro-Hungarians Steven. They certainly look as if they are going to make a colourful addition to the war front.

I do like colourful planes Phillip.
Thanks Rob, I've always had a tendency to collect and play the less popular nations in almost every game I play. The Austro Hungarians don't get the attention that Germany get (probably rightly), so I am drawn to them. Add to that my soft spot for the Aviatik and the inspiration is there.
Pity we don't live closer Steve. I could entertain you with my Italian Squadriglia.

Nice-looking paint job Steven!
As others have said, there's nothing wrong with a fictional paint scheme, fictional pilot names and fictional squadrons.
I myself have a fictional Jasta planned - I have the minis and decals, but not the time as yet...............
I laugh in the face of danger - then I hide until it goes away!
Cheers Tim! I found coming up with the paint scheme and making up the decals quite fun, I recommend a good fictional group of planes thoroughly. Good luck with yours.
Rob, I do pop up Notts way a couple of times a year, maybe a good ol' Wings bash is not totally out of the question! I keep trying to get to a show too, who knows?
Beautiful planes, very clean paint jobs on both of them! Rep inbound.
Steven, enjoy fictional stuff has much as historical reminds my of "G-8 and his battle Aces".
