Saw this particular Pup in person... it's brilliant. Peter's got some serious game.

After the near death experience with my homemade lozenge I had to do something a little more relaxing.
So I did a Pup. Everything is handpainted except the rondells. Well anyway.... Here's my version of Capt. SH Pratt's Sopwith Pup

It's made of a nut, a kitchenmagnet, a small bolt and a woodenbead.
The magnet holds everything together. No glue. Well the bolt is screwed into the bead of course

You can get small ball bearings on the cheap. Might save you a lot of work getting the small bolt into the wooden bead.

    Default Valom Sopwith Pup

Here is my Sopwith Pup from Valom. The instructions say it should be green, but I wanted a brown one The struts and undercarriage are made from a square brass rod that I picked up at the hobby shop. It's pretty easy to work with and I'm pleased with the look.

Your modifications make the Pup a very personalized one. I like the idea of the square brass too. I must look out for some next time I visit my hobby shop.

The one I painted with the Dragon is for my Welch girlfriend.
    Pete,
After doing your new Tiger Dr.1 card (Link: Official Fokker Dr1 Painting Thread), I thought I might help out with your home front and do up an equivalent card for the Dragon plane...

FYI - the contrast for the PC10 colour isn’t as strong as it appears as the highlights in the photo seem to be slightly over exposed. I suppose that’s what happens when you take photos in the evening with an iPhone. Mind you I could have adjusted to compensate if I had paid attention.

Two more Valom Sopwith Pups - in preparation for the next OTT campaign. The 'Chin Chow' is one of the decal options that comes with the Valom kit for Lt AS Lee, 46 Sqn. The light blue one is an inspiration based on the 'Suds' Sopwith Camel with a light blue scheme. I started this scheme with Nieuport 11 in the current OTT campaign.

'tis the plan, Mike. With Valom kits I find I must work slowly, so I need to start now to ready for the next OTT campaign, if there is one. If there's not one, I'll some nifty planes.

Two Valom Sopwith Pups - one is based on C215 54 (Training) Squadron and the other is based on the scheme for Stackard's Camel. Stackard 'Camel' decals are from miscmini while the others are Valom kit decals. There are different opinions on the colour of the underwing stripes for the 54 (Training) Pup - e.g., red and CDL for both wings, black and white, or the one I used.

Last photo is the set of 6 Valom Pups I'll used for the next OTT campaign - Bold Young Men (BYM).

Thanks, Peter. I'm interested to see if the maneuverability / agility of the Pup is sufficient to counter the A-guns of the Albatri.
