You must have a steady hand and a good eye, Tim. That looks really nice.

Another beauty. Everything is so smooth. I await the painting notes. I tuck those away for future reference.
Very clean paint job, Philip. Nicely done.
A very nice paint job! Very wonderful!
That's a very neat paintjob, despite the flaws in the aircraft.
That'll do!
Another nice paint job Philip!

Halberstadt CL.II Schlasta 21 No. 3 October 2, 1918
I really liked the atypical, no camo look of the Ares Halberstadt CL.II Schlasta 21 No 3. After checking into its history I learned there is disagreement on the color of its stripes and that they may have been dark blue instead of red. Locating a example on britmodeller in that livery, I ordered a Shapeways from Reduced Aircraft Factory and the result is below.
Wings, Wheel Covers, Fuselage: Testors Enamel Flat Yellow
Blue Stripes: Testors Enamel Flat Sea Blue
Wing Struts, Tail Skid, Propellor, Stick Grenade Rack: Humbrol Leather #9
Engine & Top Wing Vent: Citadel Leadbelcher)
Rudder: Testors Enamel Flat White
Landing Gear, Observer Gun Ring, Flare Cartridge Rack: Humbrol British Light Grey #64
Tires, Pilot, Observer: Humbrol Dark Slate Grey Matt #224
Sealant: Windsor & Newton Satin Varnish
Balkenkreuz Decals: Miscellanous Miniatures
Rudder Decal: Homemade

Nice Halberstadt Craig. I like your top wing center swath of color.
Looks really good, Craig. It will stand out on the game mat!
Really very pretty this “Flying Tiger”
Great Halberstadt, Craig!
REP
Craig, your paintjob and decals are spot on! I'm jealous! haha!

That is some great painting on the Halberstadt. And a homemade decal to boot. Well done.
