Two Valom Fokker DVII both from Jasta 43 - Ltn Josef Raesch (7 victories) in the Fokker with the trident symbol and Ltn Jozef Keller (1 victory) in the ex-Raben's Ravens Fokker.

Very cool Paul. What Jasta was the Keller DVII in?

Never mind, just saw it on the workbench. Thanks.

Both Jasta 43. I've edited the post to make that clear. I have the decals done for a 3rd Jasta 43 Fokker DVII for Friedrich Jakobs, which is quite cool plane - black fuselage with white stripes with a moon and stars.

Impressive. Some of guys make me want to throw all the planes I’ve painted in the trash and start Over. Thanks for sharing your outstanding work!

    Very nice work, Paul.

Of course, I may be just a bit biased toward your chosen liveries.

Thanks, Pete....and maybe just a bit biased.

I'd like to finish my planned Jasta 43 trio with Jakobs, but I'm thinking I need to prepare for the next OTT campaign, so I've just ordered more Sopwith Pups.

I have a couple of Pups and a (proper) Tripe that I bought from a 'drome member who was getting out of WoG a few years back.
None have made it to the table yet.

Good to see less well known coulour schemes, and both executed so superbly Paul.

Thanks for the kind words, Rob and all the others. Yes, it's always good to see new colour schemes - historical or fictitious.

I still had 3 Fokkers from valom.
Still not very obvious the models valom but once finished, for the price it is rather not bad. This time I had problems with the "diamond" decals which did not stick or halfway. In short, I turned everything above and below to do this by hand. It's not tip top but at play distance it does.

Great set of Fokker DVIIs. You are a braver man than most to attempt to paint the wing camo!

Nice flight of D.VIIs! Make me want to do another one. Concerning the non sticking decals: there are two types of Valom decals. Some have a blue sheet, other a white sheet. The blue sheet decals only need 15 seconds, the white sheet ones up to 60 seconds. If you put the blue ones too long into water the adhesive material is gone.

thank you for the information. I got the white one but I think I let them too long in water.
But I like to paint them ,I suppose if I were a German soldier in charge of painting zincs, I would not have made the same diamonds on all planes and after a while that would have bored me and I would have applied less. It had to be like the potato chore( not sure of translation)

If they were hand painted for sure. Painting this pattern on a whole plane would make me dizzy, but in fact the Lozenge camouflage was coloured fabric.

    Hi

Can anyone point me in the right direction for a Goring white dvii plane card download? I know this was a standard Ares series 2A release but I have a Valom kit and need the card? Thanks

It's only taken 2 and a half years to finish these thanks to Flying Helmet letting me have some decals, especially the werewolf head, I did try and paint it but looked more like a demented goblin than a werewolf.
