Wow Tim. That is another stunning model.

Don't you feel like your house is filling up with masterpieces? Maybe you need a bit more room to breathe? Maybe you need a bit more pocket money in your trousers? I may be able to help...

FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THAT IS HOLY, PLEASE SELL ME ONE OF YOUR MASTERPIECES! . Sell me one of your children! Isn't one of your babies just a bit less beautiful than the others?

I joke. But I've reserved a space for one of your masterworks in the GREAT WORKS of the MASTER ARTISTS of the 'DROME.

Keep up the great work. Inspiring.

    A Bolle for my own.

Here is a Stark repaint into Jasta Boelcke's Karl Bolle. I did one of these last year for a raffle and have been kicking myself for not having done one for myself. Thanks to Von Scharf, who also now has one, I can stop the kicking.

Do you think that could be an antidote to the Corona virus Tim? Pesky little things those D7s. Must be the warm weather brings them out!

Thanks guys. Matching colors in a very badly lit house has been torture. Can't wait to move into our home and have a proper workbench.

The pictures don’t do them justice. Though that last picture is pretty darn good... It is now the centerpiece of my collection. Truly a beauty!

How do you guys get those wing stickers (lozenge) to go on so good. My attempts have been very unsuccessful.

The key is to have a smooth, "slippery" surface to allow the decal to slide around into the correct position.

If the model has really pronounced wing ribs, I file them down a bit (once a lozenge decal is in place, you probably won't see them anyway!).

Prepare the area with Gloss varnish (or "Klear" floor polish is great, too!) and use "Microset" - the decal can be easily slid into position.

In order to avoid struts, cut paper into the required shapes, test-fit, then cut the decals to the same shape and apply.
Look here https://www.wingsofwar.org/forums/sh...g-Thread/page4 posts #196 and #198 for my method.

Well worth a Rep point just for getting the kit right James, never mind the splendid finishing.

Indeed. They are challenging kits. My brother built a few first ( with no prior modelling experience)! Having done one myself, I felt I was sufficiently challenged by valom, to pull out nearly all my scale modelling tricks! To be honest, they may as well be 1/48 scale.... but with rubbish instruction booklets!

I just finished the second valom kit. Quite happy with it. Although, I will stick to shapeways in future I think...

My wife got me a new wallet, and it came in this box. I didn't want to throw it away (recycling and all that). Then I realised I haven't got proper storage for my wings aircraft!
Hey presto. A quick print of lozenge pattern and some foam borrowed from work.
