My Jasta 2 Research Project highlighted mistakes and/or disagreements in more than 75% of the publications I used!

Do you still have the 'Valom' Fokker Dr.1 box? If so, can you tell me what colour the upper surface of the top wing of Lothar von Richthofen's kite should be?

This isn't finished; I just had to share because I'm really excited about it. I opted for the classic olive/butter colors.

    Well, since others have asked:-

The back of the box has the top wing upper surface as yellow, in the full colour paint scheme.
The front (and sides) of the box display box art showing the top wing upper surface as green Factory Finish "streaky" camo.

'Valom' can't even agree with themselves!

    Nice!

Both of these guys need Ace Skills so that they can open up a can of whoop-ass when they're not flying their D.VII's.

I don't know about Göring, but Udet should get Acrobatic Pilot, Stuntman, Daredevil, and Super Ace; no questions asked.

More Fokker Tripes to add to my painting queue!

    Super pair of DR.1s, Brian!

Original model - ARES Fokker DR.1 Kempf

Fuselage and Wings - Halfords Black Primer spray
Engine - GW Lead Belcher with black wash and highlighted with GW Runefang Steel
    Propeller - Foundry Chestnut 53a

This is the first of my Jacobs re-paints. I intend to add his other significant aircraft including Fokker E.III, Fokker D.II, Halberstadt D.II, Albatros D.II, D.III and D.V (the ARES official plane), Pfalz D.III and Fokker D.VII.

Seeing the photos I realise I haven't painted the wheels discs or engine cowling. I'll add those later today.

I have read it, thank you. So much for an easy Ares conversion.

First repaint in the books! Shapeways models took a bit of effort to be prepped for painting, and then the decals proved to be a proper pain in the butt, but I love it!
