You can see that the base was assembled before the paint was dry...
Removing the base will remove some of the paint job...

The paint job not always very good.
As you can see on this picture the orange is not straight and the front of the plane was not very well glued. The plane still look good.

The 1/190 scale is ok but not perfect...
The plane still look big when you look at it near a messerschmitt BF109.

I found out that a matchlock is just the perfect way to assemble the plane to an official base xD
You don't need glue or anything, you just have to put it into the hole.

    Pilot : Pappy Boyington
Boyington, a 1934 graduate of the University of Washington, enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps in 1936 and became a pilot. He resigned from the Marines to join General…
Stories of Pappy Boyington are legend, many founded in fact, including how he led the legendary Black Sheep squadron, and how he served in China as a member of the American Volunteer Group, the famed Flying Tigers. He spent a year and a half as a Japanese POW, was awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor, was recognized as the Marine Corps top ace. Always hard-drinking and hard-living, Pappy's post-war life was as turbulent as his wartime experiences.

    Good idea!

Maybe you cut one peg and glue it on the Corsair's fuselage.

The H-Deck is to slow for a fast bird like the Corsair (718 km/h). Solution?

Very nice solution and addition! The H deck has a faster slow speed than most decks plus the slips make maneuverable! I have tried it and it worked fine, it is the fire power that makes it!

I have several of the New Ray models and have taken the stands off. Yours is the first one I've seen where the paint is messed up where the stand connects. Also 2mm styrene plastic rods work well for pegs. Most hobby stores have them and being styrene plastic they work well with F-toys models.
